Sad, sad, sad, but wonderful, wonderful wonderful, too!

I especially love Draco here. ;D

Author's Response: Ah, thank you! I'm glad you connected with Draco. :)

This is so beautiful.

Author's Response: Hey, can't believe I missed this review! Better late than never to say: Thank you so much. ^_^

Wow. I see you don't like much completely happy endings huh?. I've just read "Cruel" and I love it so much that I decided to read every piece of your work.
This was as intense as "Cruel" although the ending was a bit sweeter.
I love it.

Author's Response: Thank you very much, Len. I'm sorry I didn't reply sooner. I'm glad that you enjoyed reading my fics. ^_^

Ohmygosh, that was amazing and beautifully done. I hope you're happy breaking all of our lil' D/G hearts, biatch!

Author's Response:

LOL.

Thanks for reviewing! ^_^

You got tears this time.

Um, WOW. That was tragic and moving. So many maybes mixed with the gruesome reality. The acceptance of the characters and how you let them finally be rescued (in so many different ways) was just indescribably heartwrenching.

My favourite line: "How ironic, he thought, almost detachedly, that he should discover his heart was alive, and beating, moments before it died."

Gah just about sums it up. ^^

Author's Response:

Thank you! Wow...I'm sorry it made you cry, but I'm flattered to hear it did! It means you really connected emotionally with the characters.

As you can see, I have a penchant for writing bittersweet one-shot; with emphasis on "bitter".

Again, I'm happy to see that you've grasped the message behind the fic; he DID die, but he kind of won in the end, because he was free, and it was thanks to Ginny- as it well should be! ^_^

Wahhh!!! I really like what you did with this fic, actually--it was very neat, in a way. You kept their relationship very minimal, entirely composed of could-have-beens, and I find that really interesting. Thanks for sharing this!

Author's Response: LOL, imelda, I LOVED how you started off your review with "Wahhh!", and then went on to give a well rounded critique! :D Awesome! I'm glad you liked it!

"How ironic, he thought, almost detachedly, that he should discover his heart was alive, and beating, moments before it died."

That was fantastic. I love that line. It is very similar to Harry's own realization in Deathly Hallows about how he never really noticed or appreciated his own humanity until he was about to die (... however temporarily).

What beautiful angst!

Author's Response:

Hey there! Thank you! Wow, you've given me lovely praise. I love to be quoted. :D
Yeah, I have this thing about 'the road not taken', and appreciating things only when you've lost them. Those are big themes with me!

The Harry thing, I didn't remember that about DH! I think I totally blocked out that book, especially the epilogue >_<

LOL. Thanks for reviewing! ^_^

Ugh! I don't think I'll ever like the feeling I have when I finish angsty fics, but I can't seem to stop reading them! Somehow love seems that much more potent when it's snatched away, and your writing fits the bill perfectly!

I especially liked the line, "How ironic, he thought, almost detachedly, that he should discover his heart was alive, and beating, moments before it died." Work of art.

Author's Response:

Hey! Thanks so much for this wonderful review!

I know exactly what you mean! True love seems to be all the more powerful when it's faced with great obstacles. In this case I feel that love won, even if it wasn't a happy ending. ^_^

Gees, another sad one. It was still good though! Obviously you're talented or I wouldn't keep putting myself through the angst...I might cry soon.

Author's Response:

Hey! I know, it's pretty sad, like Cruel! I wrote these depressing one shots when I'm writing happy fics! LOL. Sort of as a balance. You should read my happy fics! :D

Thanks for reviewing, and for saying I'm talented! Yay! ^_^

It's sad that Lucius's protection of love didn't work for Draco as it had for Harry when Lily died for him. This story was sad, and yet very sweet in a strangely nostalgic sort of way, as if this thing happened somewhere in the past....during all those wars...sigh
There you go... I have read every single fic you've posted here and have reviewed all of them. Once again, I am a fan now, so write more will you?
Oh I should tell you...Moobeam was very nice in a quiet sort of way and I didn't go crazy like I did with Cruel, but still, it was nice.

Author's Response:

^_^ Thanks so much Kim. I'm glad that you enjoy my writing! My best fic HP fic is a non D/G one-shot, so, unfortunately you won't find it here, but let me know if you'd like to read it, and I could send it to you. I will be updating Il Dragone and The World Inverted soon, either way. ;) Thanks again!

Well done! Saying I enjoyed it would be a lie given the darkness of this fic, but I liked it.

Author's Response: I'm glad you could appreciate it, your compliment means a lot to me, especially because it's "in spite" of not enjoying it, because it's so dark. Still, I think it has a very positive message! ^_^

Rowan!..Why did you have to go and make me cry?! Haha. I'm sorry, I've been away for a little bit. This past week has been crazy at work and I've been really busy. I wish I was on vacation! God knows I need one.

I really like this one-shot. You are so freakin talented, it's not funny. You can write something so light-hearted, hiliarious, and fun and then turn around and write something that brings tears to the eyes.

I've missed your writing this week, though! You have been a busy girl!

Ok, now I have to go and check out the new Il Dragone chapter! It's my favorite fic right now.

Author's Response: Ah, yay! Wonderful hearing from you! I'm sorry it made you cry, but you're in for a treat, I'm about to update Il Dragone! LOL. Thanks so much for reviewing. You know that your wonderful feedback never fails to lift my spirits, no matter what. ^_^

wow that was really good.
it has a really good feel to it. or like, not GOOD, like happy, but good like you relayed their emotions really well.

and the ending suited it even though it's very sad :(

Author's Response: Hey bee! Thanks! I'm glad you saw the "good" in it. It IS very sad, but also very positive, and I hadn't really thought of it until I read your review! Thanks! ^_^

This was so well-written; sad, but at the same time uplifting because they were both saved. The last few lines were especially great: 'he should discover his heart was alive, moments before he died' and 'he had realized just then that her tears hadn't been for herself at all, but for him'. Fantastic!!

Author's Response: Hey! Thanks so much for your awesome review! I agree with you, those are some of my favorite lines, as well. I'm glad that you found it moving. :)

That is a such a beautiful piece of writing. I almost cried at the end. No Joke.

Author's Response:

Abbie, thanks for taking the time to review, and thanks for your wonderful compliment. I am very glad that you liked it, and I know what you mean, I got a little tearful when I was writing this, too. :)

This is breathtaking. I like everything about it; even if it is a very angsty fic with very disturbing themes incorporated within it, the way you've portrayed the characters is brilliant.

A part that particularly sticks in my mind are when Draco goes to summon clothing for Ginny and is almost overwhelmed with grief for his mother. Another is the almost cleansed feeling that Draco had after Ginny's escape through the gate - the fact that he now had no fear for his fate.

Oh, and I thought I'd mention that I liked the balance between the prose and dialogue - many single p.o.v. fics have an excess of one to the detriment of the other, but you've managed a good mixture.

Author's Response:

Wow, shaded, you've given me one of the all-time best reviews I've ever gotten. I thank you for not only giving my writing such high praise, but actually telling me what you enjoyed most about the story, which is something I LOVE to hear. I'm glad that the story seemed to move you, and that you grasped the meaning behind the words so well.

It always amazes me to see what parts of my fics readers find most striking, and it always seems to be something different from reader to reader. The cleansed feeling you described so well was Ginny's way of saving Draco, without even knowing it. To me it's just as precious as the way he saved her,(that's where the whole "she rescues him right back" part comes in). Thank you for taking the time to write this amazing review, there's no way you can know how much it means to me. ^_^

Wow. That was gorgeously tragic. I love well-written angst and you certainly mastered it in this.

awww. I got a little teary :(

Author's Response: I did too. :( Especially since I was actually listening to the song that inspired me to write this in the first place, and it's very sad and very beautiful. Thanks for reviewing!

wow....how sad. A lovely story though, i loved that whole last bit after Voldermort turned up, it was so beautifully written. Well done & keep it up!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you empathized with Draco at the end there, I was wondering if I'd be able to make him likeable at all here. I mean, I felt for him, when I was writing him, but you never know how it will come across. Thanks so much for reviewing.

These types of stories always make me sad and happy at the same time. There could have been so much love between them...a lifetime of love. But there is no greater sacrifice than giving up your life so that others can live.

Author's Response: tinamarie, I know exactly what you mean...those "what if" fics are kind of heartbreaking. Thanks for taking the time to review, and I'm glad you liked it. ^_^

intergalactic. what a silly word. it's fun to say.
i loved it! the way draco realizes his heart is beating right before he dies is so perfect. horribly sad, but perfect. ahh i'm glad i read this, it perked my day up. thanks! great story!

Author's Response: Ohmygosh, I was so NOT expecting to hear someone say "intergalactic" in their review. More importantly, I was NOT expecting for this somewhat depressing fic to serve as a perk for anyone's day! You just made MY day with that! Thanks so much! :D
