Every time I read the new chapter with this story, I love it even more. I was so pleased to see that you went the time skips route to where you are jumping back and forth between the past and present day. I feel that way of writing gives the reader more perspective and makes you anticipate what more will happen.
That being said, and my obvious obsession with this story, if you are looking to put out the next chapter sooner rather than later, I would be more than willing to be your BETA for a chapter or two. I only have one story on here but I am under the penname "Lucky Th13rteen" on ff.net and there are almost a dozen other one shots or stories on there. Message me here or there if you are interested, I would love to see your writing continued at your own pace rather than someone else's

The thing I really enjoy about this fic is that it is so realistic! Moreover the different time stages are very well developed.
And does Draco has/had a crush on Ginny? Things really get interesting now! Definitely looking forward to the next chapter!

I just love your story it so very well written, and you really keep your readers reading because of the fast updates! keep them up please! btw, do you know yet how long the story is going to be?
Author's Response: Six chapters, but only four of them are more or less ready, so if you are only reading because of quick updates, then I'm sorry to say you might never make it to the end. ;) My beta has her own life and for me too, writing is a hobby, it's not my life. I will try to get the chapters out as quickly as I can but not by lowering my standards. Writing takes time. I'm sorry, if I'm not speedy enough.

Oh man! I'm sorry I haven't commented up until now, but this is a great story. I do hope it will lead toward a happier ending, any comments on that? :) Either way, keep up the great work! Can't wait to read the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you for commenting now. I know how you feel about a happy ending, I'm like that myself and that should be your major hint. The second hint is that real life rarely has happy endings. Happiness is always ongoing and when it's the time for an end it's always at least a bit sad. I'm not completely sure about the ending here though. I mean, I've written it, but I'm thinking of altering it. Not because of reviews, I'm just not completely happy with it.

This is a remarkable story for a lot of reasons. Partly, I think, it's because you have a strong, authentic, and exciting voice for Ginny, and her character is so consistent and believable; part of it is because you're not afraid to make so many aspects of this story less than perfect in so many ways, whether larger (it's not a love story yet by any means) or smaller (Draco's not drop-dead handsome; he probably feels the same way about Astoria as Ginny does about Harry; D/G sex hasn't been what propels the plot forward.)
I don't know if this fic will have a happy ending or not, but if it doesn't, that's okay too. Some stories don't, and I hope you don't feel pressured by readers' expectations.

When a writer gets a thoughtful comment from another author, it really means the world. I have a deep respect for your work, Anise, I'm thrilled that you even took a peek at mine. (I haven't reviewed because I haven't read much yet, I have a thing about WIPs, sorry, I'm definitely going to remedy it.) Your opinion of my Ginny characterization took me by surprise, but the imperfections - they were planned. I started this story to deal with the demons in my own marriage (although I don't think there's anything particular that was actually transferred straight from my experiences), so it was suppose to resemble real life. It's good to know that I managed at least somewhat. And the ending is already planned out, I have no intentions of making it fluffy. :) Thank you for taking time to read and review.

I wasn't sure by the summary if I would like this story. But dammit I love it! You are so amazing. I can literally feel the coldness seeping into my bones. And then at the end of this chapter, I feel a slight warmth. You allow us to see it what it really is. We see the truth in the situation between Draco and Ginny. I love that. You've done an incredibly great job so far. And when I check for the newest stories, I will now be checking to see if you've updated this one.

No, really. It's been barely two chapters and you've got me hooked like a fish. It's a bit obvious Ginny's developing feelings with Draco (or is she? It could just be her wanting to be appreciated as a wife - but I'm going to indulge my inner fangirl and go with the first explanation). It seems to me like Draco's unsure of how to treat her and is also unsure *of* her, but of course. I mean, he's Draco. u_u
I'm sorry if this was a bit rambly, but the gist was that I liked what I've read so far, and I find their relationship unique. I can't wait to see what you have in store next. :)

It's definitely intriguing. I like it a lot actually and I keep holding my breath reading the chapter. Please tell me this is going to have a happy ending. I think I'd be heartbroken if it weren't. I actually really like this story and agree with the comment on the storyteller nature of it. I like that you keep it one POV instead of jumping back and forth like some novice authors tend to do. There's just something about this story.
Author's Response: I love writing from a single POV, it's quite difficult to do at times, but when you succeed it feels wonderful. That was actually one of the challenges I set myself when I started writing 'Silence', just to see if I can do that. And about a happy ending. Well, first of all, I hope you agree with me that a happy ending is not always a good ending and often not even the right ending. I also absolutely hate giving anything away, so let me just say that I know how you feel. I've asked the same question countless times myself. That should be your hint. ;)

I really liked the beginning! Draco and Ginny are both very true to character, and I like how they aren't automatically in love. It seems much more real that way- and I love that. Please continue, this seems very promising! Excited for chapter 2!

Very opposite of what we're used to in the draco-ginny relationship because it's always portrayed as passionate and intense. Some parts are heart breaking to read (Draco sneaking a glance at Astoria).....can't wait for more!
