Ooh! I like this. I have been looking for some new DG to get excited about. I do hope you plan to update this at least somewhat regularly. I might die if you don't ;). Anyway, I'm quite interested in this, and I love the style of your writing. You had me from the first paragraph. You've got just enough of a trace of humor while still keeping the atmosphere a little bit tense. I knew /something/ was going to wrong at some point. This was just wonderful. Do update soon, all right?

Author's Response: I definitely do not plan to be more than three weeks at a time with updates, that's for sure. Anything more, I know from being a reader myself, is just plain torture. :) Thank you for the kind observations and review, m'dear, hope the next chapter is as interesting for you as you found this one to be

Although I have ventured into other fandoms, I still get excited when a new story pops up in my google reader. What can I say; Draco and Ginny will always be a constant for me. I was quite intrigued by the title and summary and was not disappointed at all. This first chapter is simply fabulous, and I really enjoyed your time stamps throughout. And considering the morning we had of going in endless circles (no miss turns, just really long drives) to drop someone off at Bush Intercontinental (seriously, why so many terminals?), I totally get you Draco. I really do.

Author's Response: Why so many terminals at Bush Intercontinental? Because, like the presidential legacy, it likes to muddy up simple things with frills and simplify complex issues. Long drives rock but only with good soundtracks. Endless circles, not so much :( Most definitely agree with you - gin and draco magic is like no other. Not sure why. Maybe because we have some of the most fabulously refined writers in the fandom. That and the sex keep us coming back every time. Your review is enormously kind and I really hope the next chapters are not as mediocre as I fear they'll be.

OH MY GOD. This is amazing! I'm soo intrigued with your story. You've captured the characters personality and you've definitely captured my attention. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: I definitely plan to keep up the good work - but sometimes (well, mostly), good throws a tantrum because it wants to be bad :s ideas - such fickle children. thank you for the review!

(peeks head in)
(NaNoWriMo refugee. Don't ask!)

Anyway. I'm just writing to say that I'm really, really sorry about not leaving an actual review. But I can't. There are some wonderful stories here that I just haven't been able to read because of the sexual violence warning. Unfortunately, this will be one of them. What is triggered cannot be untriggered. I truly appreciate that you've added that tag (as some authors do NOT.) I'm sure it will be an amazing fic.

Author's Response: You really really do not have to be sorry about anything, I'm just so flattered that celebrity ficcer anise took the time to leave a comment :p My face on the bus as I read this: O_O :D The tag is more...preemptive than anything else, as I'm still considering whether in later chapters, I want to take this in a certain direction. In that case, the sexual violence will be...hearsay rather than described. Still, mad props to you for sticking to your guns and, more importantly, for doing nanowrimo?! I was considering that...it was between gin/draco or NaNoWriMo. Guess what won :)

I'm deeply intrigued by this world you've created! Certainly one of the most interesting 1st chapter I've read in awhile. Something tells me this is going to be quite an enjoyable read

PS: I absolutely adore your Draco!

Author's Response: Thank you very much <3 yes, I always think complex worlds = richer story/plot. Complex characters require complex worlds for everything to be played out. Like Tolkien's Middle Earth or Children of Men's dystopian London. love 'em. not that this matches up to that by any means. hope this continues to be enjoyable for you in the upcoming chapters :)

Intrigued to see where this goes. Subscribed. This your first fic?

STT

Author's Response: Thank you kindly, am humbled :) hope it gets better, not worse. haha. is the mantra of all writers/readers. first fic under this particular penname, yes, or ship.

Ooh, this is certainly interesting. I like the general tone you've set up so far - intriguing stuff you have.

I can't say much yet, except for maybe give you much kudos for your incredibly spot-on characterisations. I absolutely loved Draco's exchanges with Hermione and Harry. Also, would you think it strange if I said I felt more sorry for Draco having to work with Zane rather than the other way around?

Very much looking forward to the next one. Keep up the great work! :)

Author's Response: For whatever you have taken the time to say and think on, however, thanks very much :) I'm glad you liked the barbed exchanges. Lol your empathy for Draco working with Zane probably says you're more Draco-like than Zane. Also, we love Draco, yes?

Oh. Well, see, I'd give up a couple years off my life to see this fic finished if like, you know, this opening chapter is anything to go by :)) Just really really intrigued and so much to learn about your Draco and Ginny and this version of the Wizarding World you've created for them! Can't wait! Take care! Really looking forward for more :))

Author's Response: If it were possible for beads of gratitude to travel electronically through the screen, know that I am radiating much gratitude your way right now. I'm mad humbled by your kind review and I hope the next chapters keep up to your expectations. -quin

This is very intriguing start, what was she doing in Cairo, i wonder?

Author's Response: Danke! I think I had just watched Cairo Time (such a sexy movie btw, must watch!) so I picked Cairo. :p that is the science behind ficling. lol.

Hmm, intriguing beginning. I wonder where Ginny is. She was back from Cairo. Cairo = Bill = Bill's job at Gringotts = dangerous job so was Ginny visiting her brother or working abroad, a dangerous job?

Or is Ginny's disappearance linked to Draco's job? or Astoria? She seemed awfully sure of herself, for someone who's earned Draco's hatred. As if she knew something he didn't.

Author's Response: You're definitely closer than you think. The guesses warm my heart to the max! Useful since my landlord has decided to turn off the heat and "winter is coming" :D Ginny's job is revealed in the next two chapters and it has alot to do with her state...and Draco's...and the reason she's in Cairo. also, thank you for taking the time to review <3

Oh, this is so inyriguing! I'd love to see the next chapter soon. it feels like something dreadful has happened to Ginny. i hope she'll be o.k.

Also could it be that Blaise and Astoria conspired against Draco (the bar tender did warn him to pay attention to their actions) and Astoria was just trying to distract Draco from whatever Blaise was doing and that was connected to Ginny's disappearance?

Author's Response: Blaise is definitely a cog in the larger wheel. Which is why I ended up naming this chapter "microcosmopolis" - to try and illustrate how the actions and comings and goings and relationships in the microcosm of these characters' worlds are an expression of something larger in the system. Okay, that was not what you asked but now you knnow I ramble :p thank you kindly for taking the time to review

I haven't been so intrigued by a story in a very long time. (And when I say very, I *mean* very.) I love Draco's characterization in this. In a way, it reminds me of fandom Snape in Snape/Hermione stories. Just kind of rich and dark and sarcastic and sneering. If the comparison is strange, I hope you'll at least take it as a compliment. :) I can't wait to see how this story goes.

Author's Response: Though context and meaning doesn't travel very well over the interwebs, I know you meant it as a compliment. Can't say I've ever read that pairing nor that characterisation but it sounds complex - which is what I wanted for Draco. Multiplous, never fixed. Thank you thank you thank you for reading and loving and reviewing and I really hope the upcoming chapters measure up to your expectations ><
