I've been reading your fic and I must say it is terrific! I was reluctant to read it after Harry was Killed, but I was drawn in by the D/G interaction. I enjoy what you done in creating a complicated and mysterious Draco. You are continuing developing him as a strong and dominating individual that grows with each new challenge in his life. Update soon!

This is by far the greatest story I've ever read. And I've read A LOT, mind, being the crazed Draco/Ginny fanatic that I am.:-) Please keep on updating! I really like how you're taking things between Draco and Ginny slowly and so...perfectly. Aaaaargh!!! I don't have the words! Well, let me just put it this way: I've always looked for that PERFECT fic for a long, long time. Sadly, nothing just hit me completely. There was always something missing... So, I said to myself, "Why don't you write what you're looking for?" I did. And then I came upon yours. Now, I say to myself, "Why didn't you just look for it more thoroughly, doofus?" :-) Please keep up the good work! You have all the ingredients for my ideal PERFECT story.:-)

Wow! I have thoroughly enjoyed your fic so far! It is one of the best ones I have ever read of Draco/Ginny, and trust me, I have read ALOT. I love your characterizations of them, they all appear very IC. You even adapted Ginny to the Malfoy lifestyle with a talent, that I have not yet witnessed in other authors. Throughout it all you kept her IC while (amazingly towards the last chapters) starting to feel for Draco and still not betray the memory of Harry. I am simply in awe of your work! The Malfoy family, I especially noticed, was characterized unlike I have ever seen them. You added a new depth to them that I haven't considered. Yes, I have read many other brilliant Malfoy family characterizations that were well done, but your's stands alone in that it has a newer approach. I love how Narcissa understands Ginny's problems having gone through them herself. I wondered about that though... having been a Black, I would think that Dark Arts and Death Eaters would not be something for her to fight against. But, I could be interpreting it wrong. Then again, I was so enraptured by your story that it deprived me sleep until 3:15 in the morning. So my memory might be a little foggy on smaller details. lol The only thing that still has me confused was the part about Draco feeling for Ginny enough to originally save her. When did that start? Will we perhaps get to see more in later chapters? Please let me know that you are going to finish this fic! I would just die of anguish if you didn't! I'll be checking regularly for updates to this little gem. But if I miss it, you could email me at cowgurlsweetie05@yahoo.com if you feel like it to inform me when it is up. Thank you for such a great read! *sigh* I can't wait for more. ~Tiffany FA aka. LovelyThumper

Author's Response: WOW!!! That was an amazing review. Thank you so much. Hearing such loquacious praise for my writing still makes me warm and fuzzy inside! *grins and blushes*.

Now, to answer some of your questions:

1. Narcissa is sympathetic to the 'arranged marriage' situation and the anxiety of new motherhood.

2. Draco didn't want to marry Pansy Parkinson because of his defection (and because he was annoyed by her), but (and we will learn this later), he wouldn't have had much of a choice because she is the only pureblooded witch deemed acceptable to Voldemorts circle (which would have created problems for the resistance because the Parkinsons are still fanatically loyal). Therefore, when the opportunity to marry Ginny arises, he seizes it without thinking it through, because making the Dark Lord think of the marriage as an extended punishment for Ginny solves all sorts of logistical difficulties. I also mentioned after the wedding, when she fainted, that he had seen her before and thought her beautiful. Which he did. Him saving her was a knee-jerk reaction that he didn't think about. All he thought was 'Save girl from torture (because he hates watching it), not Marry Pansy, keep resistance hidden'.

Hope this clarifies some stuff for you. Chapter 17 is in production and I HOPE to have it written and posted before X-mas, but it depends on how busy I am.

Wow. This story, is absolutely wonderful. I've spent the past two hours reading all of it - (it's now five in the morning) and all I can say is, wow. I liked it so much, I didn't even stop to review each chapter, I just went on greedily to the next bit. Your writing is wonderful and I love your prolific use of detail - in fact, it matches my own obsession with it! (Details make the world go 'round.) I must tell you that the details are the best thing about your story...absolutely marvelous. This is a great, wonderfully written story and I'd like to say thank you for writing something worth reading. I can't wait for your next update, so please, carry on and I'll be looking forward to the next chapter.

I think this is a completely fantastic story! And... THANK YOU for getting Ginny's full name correct! It annoys me when people call her Virginia.

where have you been?? I reviewed last time under a different name but theres no update! Please don't leave me hanging here! I'm dying to see what will happen next! Ah yes I do understand your problem with England having to do things the European way. Seriously we're not even directly linked to europe so why people believe we have to have the same speed measurments is beyond me! Wella s long as we don't get the euro it's all good! anyway lovely little bit here. Bless little Lucien. He sounds lovely. Can't wait for an update. love ser

Author's Response: Where have I been? I've been working - my overdraft was beginning to resemble the third world debt! Unfortunately I've been so busy and tired that my writing has suffered, but I am beginning to settle into the routine and so I am getting quite a bit done now, but unfortunately the Ex Ir Plot bunny is being really quiet at the moment and I have three shorter stories on the go - 'Irae Culpa', 'Oh Dear God' and 'Refraction' (which you can see over at my Livejournal - the link is on my profile page). But worry not, chapter 17 is under construction, it's just a little delayed. Lucian is sweet actually, I've decided to write him that way for a reason, which you will probably see later on, or in some 'future cookies' that are beginning to coagulate into vague plots. Of course it would help if I finished the actual fic before I write 'future cookies'! LOL Don't worry though, I AM a finisher, Exquisite Irony is too important to me to get rid of! Goddess no!

Wow! I know that you said that you were surprised at the response from your readers at how much we liked your story. But, this is most definately one of the top fanfic stories that I have EVER read. I love the way your mind works tomake the story unique and all that. I am also glad that Ginny and Draco are coming to be 'friends' I guess that is what it would be called. And I am also happy that Ginny got to meet with her sister-in-laws because this is a way that she can still be connected to her family. Please update again soon! Christine

I can't tell you how excited I was to find this chapter waiting for validation. I'd been checking every day for a while now :) The interview with Rita went better than I expected it to go, but I suppose she is afraid of the Malfoy name. It is nice to see Draco and Ginny have a somewhat normal life with Lucien, even if she doesn't realize just how normal they are until near the end. He must learn to trust her - I can't believe he was so afraid she'd out him to her sister-in-laws. Like she said, that is his story to tell. He has to realize that she's as interested in protecting their child from harm as he is, but I suppose trust is something that will be hard earned between the two of them despite everything they've already been through. I can't wait to see what this big event is in the next chapter!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Author's Response: Believe me, trust between Draco and Ginny is hard earned. She doesn't fully trust him, and fair play to her, I wouldn't either, but she is beginning to realise that thus far, he has given her no reason not to trust him. Similarly, Draco doesn't trust Ginny not to up-and-run, or at least, get some sort of revenge on him for the forced marriage situation. I think now that Ginny has had that little 'family' revelation (I must admit I was worried it'd be a bit saccarin but it seems to have worked out quite nicely), she will come to trust and appreciate Draco more. Would you believe I have over 10,000 words worth of plot notes and plot development points for this story?? There are also patches of the later chapters written too. The major event of the next chapter was mentioned at the end of chapter 16, however that in itself is not what makes it major...... Put it this way, there will be tension and angst with possibly a little more *ahem* 'intimacy'. LOL

Yet another good chapter. I like how you depicted Fleur and Rita in this chapter, Rita a disheveled mess due to blackmail. I eagerly look forward to reading the next installment. Keep on writing.

This is really good! An original take on the relationship between Ginny and Draco. Throughout all the chapters so far I have been able to see their relationship developing. Good work, please keep going!
