Draco Malfoy fancies himself a connoisseur of fine wine and fine women, but a string of encounters with Ginny Weasley teaches him that he still has something to learn about both.Category: Long and Completed
Thank you very very much for writing this story. Your enthusiasm for wine is almost infectious; but alas, myself nearing one and twenty I don't have much of a stomach for alcohol. But I'm sated with this story! Reading it at least made me experience some form of tasting, even if it's in the mind. I still thank you. I've never learned so much from a story (aside from historical and sci-fi novels) and enjoyed it, this did just the trick.
And I very much enjoyed Ginny's genius and Draco's epiphany. :D
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed the story, even if you can't quite relate to the wine drinking yet. I feel like there's always room to learn something--why not in fan fic? Thanks for the review!
When Ginny Weasley made her fashion empire, she and Draco Malfoy broke up under less-than-favorable conditions (a flying cup of hot tea was involved). Now, he's worming his way back into her life and her business, and he's determined to win her heart. Ginny, however, is not risking it again after he broke it once before . . . But when Narcissa Malfoy gets personally involved and decides that a close working relationship for a charity benefit is the best way to get them back together, sparks fly, not all of them potentially lethal.Category: Works in Progress
Your description of Marc Bringley very nearly matches my brother's. I find that fascinating. hee.
I love the attention you put on describing clothes. Not only that actually but the surroundings, too.
Looking forward to reading the next chapter. :]
Category: Long and CompletedRomance for three couples when Blaise and Luna use Shakespearean styled matchmaking to hook up Ginny and Draco. There's Much Ado about...something!
Nominated for a Quicksilver Quill award for Best Romance- Non Canon on Mugglenet* Written before the HBP, this tale presents an alternate sixth year in which Dumbledore lives, Draco is more than a foil to Harry, and Blaise Zabini is a girl. I hope readers who ship Draco/Ginny will enjoy the story which includes dancing with faeries, Celtic and Norse mythology, school holidays in London and Spain, and loads of fantasy and romance. "Is this a kissing book?" (to quote the Princess Bride) Yes, it is.*
I forgot to mention that the idea for Blaise being a girl in this story is pure crack. :D
...and like Malfoy, I'm gutted. Like a fish. Reading on now~~
Author's Response: Those are two of the most beautiful words to a writer....reading on.... ^_^
Before I read the rest of the chapters, I'd just like to say how very glad I am that someone wrote about Draco and Ginny in th theme of Much Ado About Nothing! I'm liking it so far.
I especially liked the way you incorporated a couple of the actual lines in Ginny's thoughts. I would have liked to see how they went with both Ginny and Draco spatting it out in the hallway.. but.. maybe for another version?
I'll go read the rest of the chapters now...~~!!
Author's Response: Thank you! I needed a reason why Blaise and Luna would think to play matchmaker for Ginny and Draco, and loved using Much Ado and a lot of other Shakespeare, since the story's not a retelling. Draco does quote the Bard in this story...but he won't be spitting the words out, heh.
Ginny wants revenge on Harry for jilting her at the altar (right?) and Draco simply wants to make the Boy Who Lived suffer as much as possible. When the two come together for a rather shady deal what could possibly go wrong? What couldn't?!Category: Works in Progress
Famous words: Dear thank you, hit me baby one more time.
You are a genius. I couldn't stop laughing!
Neither one had meant for it to happen. All of the sudden, Peeves was standing above the pair with mistletoe. It all happened so fast after that. She felt a jolt as her lips touched his, and then as quickly as the mistletoe appeared, it vanishedCategory: Completed Short Stories
Great story~! Might want to expound on emotions, surroundings, descriptions, etc. to make it sound less clinical. Might also want to insert footnotes about medical terms and short-words (the anesthetic, AMA, etc).
Hee. Veela blood.
Author's Response: Thanks for you suggestions! They are so second nature to me that I forget others might not know what I am talking about!
Scorpius Malfoy's parents were never around, and left him in the care of his nanny, Ginny Weasley. He grew up blissfully under her care, brought up with the Weasley ideals of courage, honor, and loyalty. Then when he turns 7, his father comes home, and Scorpius' simple world falls apart.Category: Works in Progress
I have to say that your summary intrigued me when I read it. Well, now that I've finished reading this second chapter, I'm hooked. It's going to be interesting looking at D/G from Scorpius's POV. I'm looking forward to the next chapter, and good luck with finding a proofer!
Author's Response: Yay! Glad I\'ve hooked you. Next chapter shouldn\'t be too far away!
