*COMPLETE* Destiny knew better than to bring these two together. One man, determined to draw back an errant Malfoy, is not so wise, and Ginny soon finds herself caught up in events that are not quite Fate.Category: Long and Completed
I remember reading some of your works back at FF.net, and I thiiink I read Not Quite Fate over there (or here, I'm not 100% sure) but only the first few chapters before real life swept me away.
Your one-shots are brilliant yet your novels are infinitely more so. I don't think I can choose between Misconceptions and Not Quite Fate in terms of awesomeness, but I do have to commend on the evident maturity NQF has even though both stories have similar premises. The characters felt infinitely more human and realistic compared to Misconceptions. It really showcases your growth as a writer. Though, that said, I'm also really impressed at how you've pinned both Ginny and Draco's characterizations in both stories. Also glad there was no triangle going on in NQF even though I didn't have any qualms with the one in Misconceptions.
Anyway! Seeing as you ended this story almost a decade ago, I hope your career has gone smoothly. :) Best of luck in your offline endeavours.
Draco Malfoy smelled like citrus lemons.Category: Completed Short Stories
Although I thought the last part of the story was a tad rushed, I loved the insertion of the recipe way too much. It gave a smooth flow to the story in the first and second act. And the descriptions of the scents! I'm way too interested in people's scents as well, and I could imagine all the characters' scents in my mind. Brilliant!
When Ginny Weasley agrees to help restore an old theater for charity, the last person she expects to find there is Draco Malfoy.Category: Long and Completed
This is possibly one of my most favorite stories with the most realistic characterization I've ever seen. Too few fics have had similar personalities woven into it -- given the way the series turned out, it is entirely plausible for Draco to behave like this as it is Ginny. And even though Ginny's awful prank gave me immense secondhand embarrassment, I also found deep appreciation for the way you wrote it out. There was nothing rushed or impossible; just a simple maybe-it-leads-to-something story.
Draco's just been fired from his job, confirming, once and for all, that his attempts to turn his reputation around have been futile. Luckily, someone is waiting for him at home, and her opinion of him is all that matters.Category: Completed Short Stories
I love a good fic where Draco is humanized like this. And there is evident give-and-take in the DG relationship. You wrote Draco very well!
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! I love an insecure, emotional, vulnerable Draco. Sometimes I think people forget exactly how emotional Draco is, and it's my headcanon that after the war he'd go through a serious stage of self-doubt and reflection. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! Thank you for reading. :)
Ginny hoped she would never see another singing valentine again, but, alas, the diaper-wearing, bewinged dwarves are back at Hogwarts, and Cupid's arrow is aimed right at her. One-shot.Category: Completed Short Stories
Oooh, I have a soft spot for Hogwarts-era fics and all its tropes. So adult DG + Hogwarts? Yes, please! Very cute and fluffy, as expected of a V-Day fic.
Author's Response: That's what I'm finding so fun about writing Draco and Ginny as teachers. It's like Hogwarts-era fics... but adulty-er. ;D Thank you for reading and reviewing! I'm glad you enjoyed the story. n_n
