The Tower by tudorrose1533    (Reviews - 24)

Winner of "Best Draco Malfoy" at the Spring 2007 D/G Fic Exchange! “The Tower is a card about war, a war between the structures of lies and the lightning flash of truth. It stands for false concepts and institutions that we take for real. You can expect to be shaken up, to be blinded by a shocking revelation. It sometimes takes that to see a truth that one refuses to see.”

Oh, I adore your writing! I loved the quoted text snippets dispersed throughout, it was nicely done. I felt awful for Draco when Ginny/Cressida broke his trust and am happy for the happy ending. It was an enjoyable read. :]

Through a Long and Sleepless Night by Alexandria Malfoy    (Reviews - 10)

He chanced upon it much like the others did. By simply wandering about the streets of Dublin; somewhat safe from the bloody awful mess he created back home. A portal that led to a place where every dream became reality.

The introduction to this story is wonderful.  I could easily picture everything through Draco's eyes.  I love how Draco and Ginny first met and the dialogue between them is delightful.  I'm curious as to what exactly is going on.

I clicked through to your livejournal to find any updates and read the small snippet for ch. 3.  Please update soon here? :]

Author's Response: Thanks! :D I know it's been a while since I've updated any of my stories; I've just started a new semester of school and already I'm bogged down with work. I'll try my best, though, to update this story as soon as I can. :)

The Fetchings of a Splintered Mind by bee5    (Reviews - 12)

"Only a slip of the tongue and a couple of Unforgiveables were what kept his fate apart from hers, a truth that, oddly enough, he sometimes relished in his state of grace (if one could even call it that) when he regarded her."

Ginny is a vegetable, and Draco is a spy for the Order. It seems clear who ended up with the short end of the stick, but both will learn a lesson or two before the consequences of what they share in Grimmauld Place affect the outside world.

What an intriguing opening. It's different from most Draco defects and lives at Grimmauld Place with Ginny fics I've read, definitely much darker in tone. Ginny's current inert state disheartens me a little, considering her character is usually portrayed as being a spitfire. I can't wait to read how Draco seeks her out.

After something as trivial as a book destroyed Ginny Weasley's innocence, she finds that other books in themselves could work as the catalyst in bringing herself and the unimaginable Draco Malfoy together.

I am the biggest lurker/creeper around.  I ventured on to your livejournal from the link on you profile and noticed you had an account on harrypotterfanfiction.com.  I was delighted to see more chapters of "The Grim Truth" and proceeded to read them.  Wow.  This fic is much darker than I imagined from the prologue but I guess the title should have warned me.

I'm really enjoying this story. :]

Oh! These are so good! 100 drabbles interconnected in a linear story line is quite an ambitious task. I'm very impressed and greatly applaud your effort.

I wonder who this 'heartless' person could be. Since he's still terrorizing the world, I'm assuming he doesn't arouse much suspicion. Very frightening.

Hope to see more D/G interaction soon and Draco not thinking about death. Maybe Ginny can help him think otherwise? :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I can promise more D/G interaction is coming up, though I can't say if it will be in the next batch of drabbles. I really hope so, though! I'm glad you like them so far!

Young Draco and Ginny are simply adorable and Lucius's POV was quite amusing.

:)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! And I like that you picked up on the little hints in the opening. And I love little Draco and Ginny, they really are so cute. I like Lucius a lot in this fic. He makes a couple more appearances so I hope you enjoy those as well. Thanks again!

So much love!!! Seriously, I would copy/paste my favorite lines but would just end up copying the entire chapter. I love Blaise, he's so hilarious, and every one of his lines had me giggling. Hopefully we get some future scenes of Blaise and Ginny interacting. I love how clever Michael was and find it funny how Draco was essentially the catalyst to that relationship forming. Makes me think he's going to be the reason for Dean/Ginny to occur. Lol. I'm getting way ahead of myself. Again, much love!

Author's Response: Thank you!!! What a great compliment! I really loved writing this whole chapter. Draco's plan was quite fun to have blow up in his face. And I couldn't resist having Michael figure it out. As for Blaise and Ginny, there is more to come between the two of them. Thanks again for the great review. I love hearing your thoughts on it.

Political Animals by Aquinnah    (Reviews - 62)

Working for the Department of Mysteries teaches Draco Malfoy many things: Play the man. Everyone lies. Collateral damage is inevitable. But when he's the man being played and Ginny Weasley becomes collateral damage - well, you know what they say. All's fair in love, war, and hard and dirty politics.

Although I have ventured into other fandoms, I still get excited when a new story pops up in my google reader. What can I say; Draco and Ginny will always be a constant for me. I was quite intrigued by the title and summary and was not disappointed at all. This first chapter is simply fabulous, and I really enjoyed your time stamps throughout. And considering the morning we had of going in endless circles (no miss turns, just really long drives) to drop someone off at Bush Intercontinental (seriously, why so many terminals?), I totally get you Draco. I really do.

Author's Response: Why so many terminals at Bush Intercontinental? Because, like the presidential legacy, it likes to muddy up simple things with frills and simplify complex issues. Long drives rock but only with good soundtracks. Endless circles, not so much :( Most definitely agree with you - gin and draco magic is like no other. Not sure why. Maybe because we have some of the most fabulously refined writers in the fandom. That and the sex keep us coming back every time. Your review is enormously kind and I really hope the next chapters are not as mediocre as I fear they'll be.

Drabbles are like a small window into our favorite characters most intimate moments. The majority of the time I'm quite content with what I'm given, then there are those times where upon completion, I feel quite bereft and I selfishly want more. 'Transition' falls somewhere in the middle for me, it's such a beautiful piece (the imagery!!!) that I fear what more will do, but it did leave me with many questions. Ginny has been gone for nine years and her daughter is referred to as a child, which leads me to believe she had a falling out with her family over Draco (sad face) and then another one (dagger) with just Draco? Maybe after an even ten years she'll make a return back home?

Author's Response: I imagined she had a falling out with her family and Draco over her child, so to make peace, she isolated herself from all of them. I also like to imagine that both her family AND Draco have been searching for her over the last nine years, and eventually they'll all be reunited. :( Transition is one of those stories I know I could never do justice if I tried to expand it. I think it's at a decent length, though I do wish all my writing in general reflected the writing I did here. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

Was 'The Quest' a dream or reality? Either way, I like the Triwizard Tournament feel to it. And the banter in 'Politicking' is great.

Author's Response: Thank you! I thought of The Quest as something happening in Ginny's mind, as a dream or a vision of some sort. But the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of it being reality. It would need just a little more background to make it so. So whichever way you think of it works.

'All's Hair in Love and War' is hilarious. I was greatly amused with Theo having a muggle alarm clock (of course he would). This part, "Even Snape gave him an odd look every now and then, but he helped Draco out by not calling on him during class." was my favorite.

And what a contrast 'Fallen' was. Ginny siding with the dark (!) and her transformation due to imprisonment is amazing. Although, 'Fallen' is tragic and bleak I did have a chuckle when I came to this particular line, "Ginny pouted, throwing the rat at the opposite wall of her cell." I just watched 'A Cat in Paris' the other day and this reminded me of Zoé throwing a box of lizards at her door when her mother left the room. IDEK

Author's Response: I've relatively recently started writing Theo, and two of the unpublished stories I've used him in show him characterized in completely different ways, but I think he would still have this fascination for Muggles. The fact that his role is so small in "All's Hair" and you agree that his characterization rings in any way true must mean I'm doing something right! Of course Theo is alll fanon, but he's a fun character to explore. :) I don't think I've ever seen A Cat in Paris, but the throwing lizards at the door bit sounds really familiar! If the rest of that drabble didn't prove it, I'd hoped that that line would show Ginny's madness at that point. :( Thank you for reading and reviewing!
