Sequel to "The Journey Home." Ginny has finally come to terms with her grief, but much of her life remains in turmoil as a new mystery beckons her back to the one place she doesn't want to be, in an effort to free her lover from his family's past mistakes.Category: Works in Progress
I love that she threw the book at him. That was hilarious. And I love the little act of jealousy. They make such a cute couple and they haven't even figured out all their couple issues yet.
More! I need more! :D
Author's Response: Yeah, that was kind of fun. The better part is that we know that Draco has no issues whatsoever about stealing something (from that scene from Chamber of Secrets) but he loves the idea of messing with Ginny about her doing something like that. It seems she likes to call him names - and I'm trying to be creative about what she comes up with. Thanks for reading!!! :)
I really do love this story. Draco is so sneaky first thing in the morning. I love how specific he was in asking Winky those questions. I love how formidable Molly Weasley seems and how understanding Arthur seems to be. I can't wait to see more of Ginny and Draco's relationship as it develops.
Author's Response: Thank you, m'dear! I'm so glad you enjoy it so far. The balance with Ginny and her parents is a bit tricky - they are concerned, but I don't want them to be overbearing. As for Draco being sneaky, I'm thinking that his Slytherin background makes him very adept at bending the truth a bit. I'm sure he's had a lot of practice (considering how he was very good at not getting in trouble after harassing Harry at Hogwarts). :)

Awesome! I love that Draco's house is her safe haven and that she is clearly welcome there, if Winky's and Draco's reactions are to be believed. I like that he is encouraging her to do what she wants rather than what is expected of her . I just wish she had her own flat again. She needs a space that is all her own. Maybe she could work for George if she can't get back into the Ministry and get her own place again. She needs to be off the Weasley's short leash.
Awesome! Love it! Want more! :)
Author's Response: Now that Ginny has healed a bit, she feels badly for ditching her family. Yeah, she's on a short leash, but she's allowing - even self-imposing it - because she wants to make up to her family for running off without so much as a "goodbye" to anyone. This won't last long. She's only been home for a week or two, so I think that it makes sense that she wants to be extra tolerant and she and the family need to work out how to be together again. Much more to come! and thank you for the review!
Hugs!

I know she has to mend those fences but I also don't want her to lose any ground with Draco. She needs to strike while the iron is hot. Plus, I think it would be hard readjusting to living with her family again after being her own woman for so many months. I know for me, it would be hard to readjust (even if it was only 3 months) to not being able to do what I want when I want after getting used to that.
Author's Response: Thanks again.
I kind of like that Ginny is back at Hogwarts because I love the potential drama that provides but I love the idea of independent Ginny.
I need those three chapters like yesterday.
Author's Response: Hi! Yes, it was something she needed to confront, and while it gives a new direction for her, she's not going back to being "just a student". She's grown up and doesn't look at herself as a student anymore, if anything, she feels more like an undercover agent (albeit not a very good one). I think you'll like what's next. :) Happy reading! -G
I like it. It stays true to character for all mentioned - Sybil is obtuse, Ginny is determined, Draco is an arse and Harry is a puppy-dog. All fits.
I love that they have reaffirmed their affection and Draco is now in on the plan.
Put two students together from separate houses, add massive work loads, stress and hormones. Let's see what happens.Category: Works in Progress
Cool. Interested to see how this plays out. Also, I Hope you update quickly.
Author's Response: Should be an update within the next few days :-) x
Draco stumbles upon a book of illicit drawings and is happy when he discovers the artist.Category: Completed Short Stories
Yay! I'm signed up for the first time this year and I'm kind of excited and nervous. :)
I remember reading this for Smutty Claus and loving it then and it's still deliciously awesome now. I hope you're writing for Smutty Claus again this year, so we can have more goodness like this. Awesome!
Author's Response: Yay Glad you liked it! Yep I'm all signed up and seriously excited for the writing smut to start!
When Ginny hears a nasty rumor, she confronts the slanderer himself. One-shot.Category: Completed Short Stories
What a brilliant scheme it was. I love that they started the rumour to work to their advantage... Awesome story. Gave me such a giggle in all the right places...
Author's Response: Yay! I'm glad you liked it! n_n
Gossip can be manipulated for one's ends. Written for the challenge posted by chromeknickers on The DG Forum.Category: Completed Short Stories
Awesome! It is so short and sweet. It makes me want more in this universe but love it just as it is.
Working for the Department of Mysteries teaches Draco Malfoy many things: Play the man. Everyone lies. Collateral damage is inevitable. But when he's the man being played and Ginny Weasley becomes collateral damage - well, you know what they say. All's fair in love, war, and hard and dirty politics.Category: Works in Progress
I still haven't put sufficient work into my story updates so I know what you mean.
He is totally Head Nerd. He needs a Director's chair that says 'Head Nerd'. I was watching LotR again this week and TT is 3.5 hrs long, RotK is 4 hrs long. He just put the whole book in there to satisfy all the nerds. HP directors should have done that.
I don't know, I guess it never seemed liked something I'd enjoy. I think it also clashes with some of my other Sunday night viewing. :)
I think it's opening on the 19th. To be fair, I haven't finished my reread of the book yet so I can wait. Peter Jackson is Head Nerd so I know it will be awesome.
Is the next update of this coming soon?
Author's Response: Next update - trying to submit for tuesday the 18th so before the submissions board closes for the hols. If not, will have to be the 3rd because i'm juggling a few freelance deadlines at this point :( damn holidays. No rest. I hope someone gives Peter Jackson a badge to that effect that he can pin on his robes - Head Nerd. Retaining the ability to deduct nerd points for non-nerdy behaviour.
So, I'm glad to see the update. I was so excited to see it I literally did a little jig but enough of my awkward nerdiness...
I was totally loving seeing Zane navigate his new employment situation. It's interesting to see the DoM through his eyes. Plus, the more page time he gets, the bigger my crush gets. It's also nice that he's smart as a whip.
I love, love, love seeing the flashbacks of Draco and Ginny's relationship. I love how uncertain they each are about the attraction they feel for each other; Ginny more so than Draco. That action scene in the cafe was fun to read. I could feel the tension and see the dust and rubble in my mind's eye. Very enjoyable.
That last conversation with Zane and Roger now has me on the edge of my seat for the next chapter. What kind of web is Draco trying to manoeuvre. The mystery is very intriguing.
Want more!
Haha, that reaction pic is exactly how I feel. So true. :D
I quite like the idea behind this story and what I see so far. Love Draco's snark and wit. It's extremely entertaining. More please.

Thank you for your lovely review, going to try and get the next one out asap
I really liked the bits of backstory. I love that Draco knew Ginny so well that he knew all aspects and stages of her tantrums. I love that Zane just got down to business. I hope he isn't a sneak who will betray Draco later, because I think this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
Lovely chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you thank you thank you and also, caught the mistake and fixed it, good job ;) fortunately, no betrayal on zane's part that would make for way too many plot threads - though I think sometimes Zane will be close to smacking draco. I'm thinking...Sherlock and Watson from the Masterpiece Theatre series adaptation?
I am loving all the mystery and espionage. Draco must be torturing himself since the last conversations he had with Ginny were tense and uncomfortable. I am really liking Zane, he seems to be getting a handle on Draco's personality and how to deal with that.
Is Logan Huntzfeldt/Huntzman (I think you made a mistake there) any relation to Logan Huntzberger from Gilmore Girls? I might be over-nerding to make that connection.
Anyhoo, lovely chapter. I'm anxious to see how this unfolds.
Author's Response: There is no such thing as over-nerding and if there is I am surely your partner in crime because YES, logan huntzfeldt is totally ripped from the huntzberger :) Giilmore Girls owns my heart. But just the name and father-news-magnate bit, not the personage. But total win for getting that :D
Oooh, I was right. Yay! I over-nerd as a way of life. Logan was my fave beau of Rory's. He had all the airs of high society with all the fast-talking, pop-culture references of Lorelai. I think if he was her age, he would have totally been friends with her and Christopher in school.
Author's Response: YEAH he would! Which is why he was such an awesome fit for Rory. They just dont make em like that IRL T_T Although Lorelai would still distrust his swag and money money ways :) Initially. Then you're taken in by the charm. Agreed, Logan was an amazingly written character, really multi-dimensional. Matt Czuchry's dimples/crinkly eyes smile helped :D Also, Matt Czuchry on The Good Wife anyone?
Yes! Ohmigosh it's like you live in my head. That is totally what I'm seeing. If you love LotR, Doctor Who and Downton Abbey too, I might have to kidnap you. :)
Author's Response: I am the figment of your imagination :D I say you kidnap me and we go be student travellers in europe. Clearly I love all these that you mentioned and MOAR (firefly anyone?) tell me you are seeing the hobbitses this weekend??
I actually don't watch The Good Wife but I'm jealous of all the people who get to see him weekly. He is just plain yummy. But definitely one of my fave characters.
Author's Response: :O you must watch The Good Wife! Y U NO WATCH
:( Unfortunately, The Hobbit isn't opening in a theatre near me this weekend - I'm not in the continental US. I located a bit more Caribbean. I will be watching it as soon as it gets here though...
I am all for that Eurotrip though. My dream is to live in England.
I actually never got into Firefly. I think it was cancelled before I even heard about it, but FOX tends to do that with good shows (R.I.P. Alcatraz).
Author's Response: Fox must die a horrible horrible death. Though they seem to have Joss Wheedon's creative balls in their fist so that's something at least...R.I.P. Alcatraz and Firefly and also Dollhouse :( Also, not to hype it up for you or anything but Hobbit was bloody BRILLIANT :D watch asap! When IS the release date for you anyway?
I. Am. Loving. Zane! I looooove the banter between him and Draco. I love how quickly he has grasped Draco's personality and how best to work with it. They make a good team.
Kudos on Logan too. I loved picturing GG Logan while he and Draco talked.
Awesome! I very much enjoy this and I can't wait for more.
Author's Response: Thank you m'dear, glad to hear from you again! How were the holidays? I got hit with the flu thus the late update. A friend of mine said there's something going around, a kind of bug, in the carribean as well, is that true? I really dote on Zane, he's classic. Along with Draco its like bing-bam-boom, wooh! GG Logan was what I was picturing too! <3 you rock
Cheeky Draco. I loved that he seemed to be testing L. He wanted her to trust his judgement but since that wasn't going to happen he'd just give her what she wanted. I think he felt a little disappointed in her, or maybe I'm just reading too much into it.
Awesome as always. :)
Author's Response: HAHA, I was sitting at work when I read your previous review, the one where you dressed Zane up - literally laughed out loud causing many uncomfortable stares. Totally worth it though because, oh man, he sounds like such a hipster, I love it! I mean bowtie and all? Awesome! They need to create another word to convey gratitude other than "thank you" but seriously, thank you for your kind review :)
The thing between Draco and L is that...they know each other far too well though he barely knows much about her. Somehow, through a few years of professional contact, they've been able to build a persona of expectations for each other that actually hold true for both their personal and working lives (thus, authentic characteristics that are not a mask) and that very few other pick up on or see. He needed a little help in this one, though, Draco did, and it came from Zane - because precisely those people who are closest to us are the ones that we're most stubborn about - henec, draco not wanting to submit a report, expecting L to empathize but without giving her a reason to do so? He is working emotionally, rare for him, and he wouldn't recognize it as such, but Zane reins him back in which I think is just as important for building a bond between Draco and Zane. In short, he was prepared for her insistence because he understands that she is asking from a purely work perspective. Still, when did Draco ever make anythng easy, eh? :D
