Working for the Department of Mysteries teaches Draco Malfoy many things: Play the man. Everyone lies. Collateral damage is inevitable. But when he's the man being played and Ginny Weasley becomes collateral damage - well, you know what they say. All's fair in love, war, and hard and dirty politics.Category: Works in Progress
Hi. Yes Zane is my new fave character. I can almost see him looking tall and thin walking down the street in a posh suit (maybe with a bowtie) while he was talking to Draco. I'm so developing a crush on you original character. :)
Sorry to hear you were unwell. Jamaica has had a string of flus but I don't know about it being Caribbean-wide. You're still tops because even with illness you still managed to complete 2 amazing chapters. I still can't find the words to write chapter 5 for my story.
I saw The Hobbit! Peter 'Head Nerd' Jackson does it again! :)
Author's Response: Yeah, eh, I heard about Jamaica and Trinidad&Tobago as well...well, world was overdue for an epidemic. Maybe the Mayans were right :p
And as for the 2 amazing chapters, I really, really did not want to break up the one chapter into two but was forced to because of the word limit. So, really, I cheated and it's just a two part one chapter for posting purposes. What can I say, some writers are verbose, okay? We're trying to deal with it...we need a support group for that :S
HEAD NERD ROCKS and so does Richard Armitage mmm <3 But okay, what was that stuff about a pale orc? Strange. Still, well worth it. Frame rate was dazzling though it initially reminded me of a soap opera.
I need to go read your story...
I pictured a little bit hipster but mostly fashionista. I think hipsters would take lessons from him. Zane could definitely work for the Bravo Network in my mind. :)
Fili, Kili and Bifor (I think) were the dwarves for me. Gave me such giggles. I didn't recognize half the movie based on the book but it was definitely entertaining. It's unbelievable that there will be 2 more parts. I'm interested to see how that goes.
Yes, definitely go read my story. I'd love to hear your comments/critiques. I also send you a cheesy 'let's be friends' message.
I really love the relationship between Zane and Draco and I'm totally falling madly in love with Zane.
"Hello,” he said casually, as if speaking to a perfect stranger. She supposed that was what they were, now.Category: Works in Progress
She said nothing.
“Those cigarettes will kill you, you know.” Oh so now he was giving medical advice.
She held up the cigarette in a salute to the sky, as if to say “Here’s hoping,” but still no words escaped her chapped lips.
Interesting. I look forward to where this goes from here.
I am really curious about what's happening with Draco and Ginny. The tension.... Ooooh, the tension.
A bit of Christmas dancing puts Draco in a bah humbug mood, until Ginny Weasley sheds some light on the world that he has been missing out on. Perhaps Draco has kept himself wrapped up for too long.Category: Completed Short Stories
Awww, this is really nice. I should have read this before the holidays; it would have put me in the Christmas spirit. Very nice!!!
Author's Response: Yay! I'm glad you saw the Christmas spirit in it! It wasn't as Christmas-y as I'd hoped it would be, but I hoped the spirit of the season would still be in there. :)
Ginny is stuck in a terrible relationship with Harry, and is being haunted by the memory of a man from her past. Can Ginny find the strength to put herself first?Category: Works in Progress
Yay! They found each other again! Now, what to do about Harry?
Nice! Ginny promised Draco that she would be happy, that was not happy. She needs to get her life back and start being happy, even if it's without her family. If they love Harry so much, they can keep him. *girl power*
I like this story! I can't wait for more. Welcome back!
I feel like I've read this story before. It's good, though. I look forward to the next update.
In Ginny's sixth year her world is turned upside down as the tides of war change and different people are in power. She tries to keep her head down, but she can't help who she is. She stands up for what is right. This leads to her being punished for her actions...Category: Works in Progress
I LOVE!!! I can't wait to read more. I love that he's actually dangerous and emotionally dangerous. I can't wait to see how this plays out. More please (and soon, hopefully). :D
Author's Response: I'm glad you like Draco's dangerous nature. He is now a fully trained Death Eater at this point so I was hoping for a dangerous air about him. I am working on it, but it is finals time at my college, so I'm going slightly crazy!
Oh, I know how you feel. I've put myself in Academic Quarantine just to get some studying done before I update my fics.
Good luck with exams!
Author's Response: Thank you! You also! Next week is my last set and then I have a week off before my next quarter starts...Thank goodness...
Little Draco is observant and such an adorable little gentleman. I like that Ginny remembers their time together at the day care as well, and I like how you linked all the canon events to being D/G related. Very nice.
Author's Response: Isn't he though? I figured he had to be, since people in his social circles are expected to act a certain way. Ginny remembers everything, but has a hard time connecting Draco the jerk in Hogwarts to the sweet Draco she remembers, though she wants to be the way they were again. Those events from cannon fell into place perfectly for this story. I was so happy to be able to tie it together. :)
I think you did a brilliant job. I think that sweeet Draco is still in there somewhere. He just has all this DE training hiding it now, and bringing it out in weird death-y ways.
Author's Response: I'm glad you are enjoying it. He's trying, he really is, lol. I hope you keep reading. :)
Draco was studying some new business proposals when the bell rang. He looked at the clock on his desk. 1am. Now who would come calling at one in the morning?Throwing down his reading glasses, he got up and walked across the living room.Category: Completed Short Stories
There could only be one person…
With a quickening of his heart, he opened the door. There she stood in a trench, the hood pulled over her head. It covered everything but the glitter of her amber eyes.
Ginevra.
Magically delicious. I love the idea that they can't keep away from each other. I love the ruthlessness of their coupling and that we just get a sneak peek of this secret part of their lives. Lovely.
A one night stand left both wanting more.Category: Completed Short Stories
I really did! It was deliciously naughty and completely sexy. I'm now your official fangirl. I can't get enough. It was too short, so now I will have to read it again and again until I'm satisfied.
Author's Response: I am so glad you liked it! I will try to come up with more, promise.

I read Politicking somewhere else before and it gets better the second time around. Sneaky Ginny is so sneaky. Love it!
Author's Response: It was during the DG Forum's Battle of the Drabbles last year! It's still posted under the Forum's account. :) Thank you and glad you liked it!
Draco tries to make Ginny jealous. What will he do when the tables are turned...in the most borderline PWP way of course!Category: Completed Short Stories
Sexy! Who doesn't love a little sexual competition. Awesome! This just became a new favourite.
Ginny Weasley wants nothing more than to focus on her Quidditch career and have a fun time doing it - but between the Ministry of Magic's plans to implement new marriage regulations, slanderous news articles by Rita Skeeter and a pair of irritating Slytherins, she just can't catch a break.Category: Works in Progress
A feminist take on the Marriage Law trope, with DG for good measure.
**Previously titled Of Marriage Laws and Liberal Feminism**
This AMAZING banner was created by my friend idreamofdraco. :)
Feminism always rocks! Definitely continue it! I like it and I need more. I can't wait to see how the Malfoys react to the meeting and the idea. Especially if Draco might be forced to marry someone undesirable.
Author's Response: Feminism is totally the shit. u_u
*laughs* Malfoys will be Malfoys! Hopefully Ginny can soften a certain pureblooded bigot up a little. ;)
Lovely chapter as always. I love anything with Draco and Ginny interacting and Draco shaking his head at her antics. I can't wait for more...pretty please.
This Award Certifies that
....Haniqua....
Updated quickly and is therefore awesome!
Now, can I have the next update soon? :D
Author's Response: I think Draco will be perpetually amused by Ginny's ludicrousness, haha.
I'm working on the next chapter as we speak! 746 words, and counting (which is better than 0 words... and not counting). Will hopefully have a new update for you in a couple of weeks.
Thanks for reviewing!
I'm caught up! I like how much of a lose canon Ginny is in this story. I appreciate that everyone seems to be trying to keep her from exploding. Looking forward to see how this plays out.
Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying it! Thanks for reviewing. :)
Ginny returns home to find that life at the Burrow has completely changed in her absence. It's all Ron's fault, and it's up to her to try to save her poor brother, but she may be too late. Worse, she may get sucked into the madness along with everyone else and start liking her brother's new best friend.Category: Long and Completed
I'm really loving carefree Ron. Usually, in fictions he's the one who is most agitated and grouchy and anti-Draco/Ginny so this is refreshing. It's fun to see. I hope you update soon.
Author's Response: Thank you! and yes, update coming soon. Just have some minor polishing to do. :)
I always love your stories and this one is no different. That 'grew on him like a fungus' line was so funny to me because I say it a lot.
I also love how simple and believable the story Ron tells about his and Draco's friendship is, and that it gives Ginny insights into their relationship.
Author's Response: hahaha! I always use that term about the fungus. I almost didn't put it in the story because I thought it was cliche. Glad that it worked. :D
Love! I love the one-sided frustration and just how cavalier Ron is about the friendship. Is it wrong for me that I can easily believe Harry and Hermione ignoring Ron while they're off pursuing their career.
Author's Response: From reading the books, I truly did see Hermione going off on her own quite easily, especially if she gets to be in the company of other intellectual types. It really wasn't hard to envision. Harry too, he'll be so absorbed with wanting to succeed at being an Auror that he'll be fully focused on that for a bit. Ron needs a friend who needs him. I always thought of him as the heart of the group. I also always thought that his relationship with Ginny and the rest of his family was really ignored in canon, so it's fun to build some interaction between Ginny and Ron, and loosen him up a bit. :)
Yay! Please don't let it soak too long. I'm dying to read the next one.
I don't think I mentioned before that I really like the idea of Harry and Hermione being self-involved and forgetting Ron. I always thought they would be that way. Brilliant!
Love! I like that Ginny came around on her own and it was something as simple and human as heartbreak that brought her around. Everyone feels it and she can relate. Love this! Eagerly awaiting the next one, especially since the feelings are due to change.
Author's Response: Thank you! And yes, more coming soon. Next chapter is written and kind of in the "soak" phase - where I need to not look at it for a little bit before the next round of edits.
Hugs!
