Before the Storm by Glass_Mermaid    (Reviews - 491)

*Winner of the Draco/Ginny Fanfiction Award for Best Novel Length Story.* "Perhaps not everything is as black and white as it appears. Perhaps, even my father was tangled in a web of his own emotions, and in the end it spelled his death. Perhaps I too will share his fate, dying not for the cause I believe in, but for that which I cannot foresee." The ever weaving threads of our own decisions can lead to irrevocable knots, and when Lucius Malfoy is destroyed by unexpected forces, his son, Draco, is thrown into a world of political intrigue, insatiable passion and desperate gambits, opening doors he never thought to look for, and creating a life he never thought he would have as his own.

Wow! I just finished reading this flawless piece, and words can't even begin to describe how I felt through every minute of it. It was really outstanding and no doubt one of my most favoured. The storyline was mind-blowing; I don't know how you managed to do that. You are an incredible author and you're creativeness has led you to write such a beautiful piece. Draco's character was portrayed excellently, although Ginny's character was a bit off. She lacked some of the characteristics that I would have really liked to see in her, especially in this story. Dumbledore's character was extremely well written; precisely how he should be. I am looking forward to your sequel which I am assuming you will write considering the fact that you stated that this story was “Book One.” You have to write another one and I will anxiously be awaiting your next brilliant piece.

When Ginny Weasley becomes Draco Malfoy's wife, he suspects neither her true identity nor her dangerous motives. But when all Hell breaks lose and their relationship takes unexpected turns, there is more at stake than preserving their marriage--namely, preserving their lives.

You know at first I was ecstatic when Ginny found a way to escape and i'm happy that she has a safe place to stay but after the little talk Draco had with Hermione, i'm starting to feel sorry for Draco. He seems desperate, he genuinely wants Ginny back, and not just to kill her then and there but to...be happy again. He's miserable without her and i really hope he finds her in the next chapter. Well once again, you bring us an awesome chapter and i'll be looking out for the next one. Ciao

wow, that was...intense? frightening? unnerving? chilling? I don't know what to say, it was amazing though, probably one of the best chapters you've ever written. I have to hand it to you, the scene where draco and ginny meet was dangerously intense, i was practically on the edge of my seat! This was definitely worth the wait, you truly are an awesome writer! Keep up the good work and i can't wait for the next update...until then...adieu!
