Now, I love that Ginny was stupid enough to not fully know the affects of the spell she was using. It wouldn't be the first time. And I love how Draco uses the echo line again.
I do hope that soon, Draco will realize he cares for Ginny because I believe that deep down he does. Otherwise, he wouldn't want to protect her from anything. That's a sign of caring. It's not love, but it could grow to that.
Also, I don't think Draco is in total control of himself. Not completely. If he were, then he'd be able to force himself to sleep with Astoria. I'm not saying he can't stop himself from taking Ginny, but it will be hard. But he will because HE CARES ABOUT HER. It's all tied together.
If I could come do any and all work for you so you could write, I would. *sighs* But um....want to go to the Three Broomsticks, grab a butterbeer, and take a break from all the writing? I've been going nonstop for awhile now.
Author's Response: I *couldn't* have made the chapter longer! It would have been about 40 pages long. It had to be two chapters. I don't think that Ginny is stupid, but she's at a point where she has a lot of learning to do, and she's very impulsive (at least she's starting to realize that.) And yes, Draco has some control issues.... and hmmm, you just may be right about him caring about her.... I like the Three Broomsticks idea. There seem to be a lot of Dracos floating around... maybe we could grab a couple there. :)

Author's Response: Yes, Draco is at his arsehole best here in a way, but I think he's also backed off some on the absolute obsessiveness. You can have Ginny for awhile, but you have to bring her back. She has lots to do in her studio! :)

Now, as to the question of what Lucius is doing in the *right now* of the fic... well, remember that the scene between Lucius and Draco that Ginny saw in Stephen Jay Gould's Pensieve was from over three years before (and that's a phrase that nobody sane ever would have predicted could be written in the world we all know and live in.) But what IS Lucius doing now? Hm, hmmmm, good question. ;) Hint: that's why we can't get rid of Astoria yet (retrieves her from edge of cliff. She isn't very grateful.) I was just thinking that I should go see Inception! You're obviously psychic.

Author's Response: Thank you dear! I don't know how indepth it is, but it's a big interest of mine, for sure. I've been reading a lot of SJG and Niles Eldredge this summer. I have to admit, though, that The Structure of Evolutionary Theory was very daunting. SJG wrote a lot of popular science books, but that was... um... not meant for a general audience AT ALL. *deep breathing* Okay, I think I have pieced a fair bit of hypothesis’s together from these cookies(though I do believe some of it may be meant to mislead us readers).
Firstly, I do believe that Ginny went back in time somehow and WAS Marie, but with a glamour spell. No Pensive would make you the person asking the questions. And the succubus spell wouldn't quite hold up, unless she found a way to do it with the portrait Malfoy. But as we've seen, she has sex with Draco before that, so there would really be no point in that. So, I stick with my initial theory on that one.
Secondly, the business contract seems obvious. It has to do most likely with Ginny's art. She may be opening her own gallery or such(although this could be a part meant to throw us off, as I have stated before. You are rather tricky Anise). And of course she's fighting her want for Draco.
The Pureblood Regency Ball...possibly for business reasons? That seems most likely to me. Either to expose her to higher society people to get her art work out there....I can't really think of an or at the moment. But if I do, I will let you know.
The sex scene. From what I read(and I read hard), Draco most likely 'betrayed' Astoria so to speak in public. Maybe he confessed he hated her or some other such. But I am pretty sure it has to do with the public knowing that his and Astoria's wedding was a huge sham. It may even have been Astoria who caused a scene. Possibly even they never consummated the marriage, and the entire Wizarding world learns of that. It seems possible to me.
Along with that goes the part where Ginny thought: And I thought, I really thought, that this could never happen between us. I was so sure… Her mind could not begin to process the fact of what Draco had done to make this moment possible, but she had to believe it, because she’d witnessed it less than an hour before.
Of course, so had half the upper crust of the wizarding world.
OKAY, this leads us to too ideas that root with the former. Draco, upon whatever happened with Astoria, admitted to loving Ginevra. Because she said she would not sleep with someone who didn’t love her. Unless he admitted to truly caring for her, which then she may have given herself to him. But, seeing as that is farther ahead, and is the first time they have sex. I’m leaning towards he loves her. Not in love with her, but loves her.
ALSO, one other thing that he could have done was defy his father. If it was known Lucius wasn’t dead and was trying to hunt Ginny down, Draco may have publicly stopped his father from touching her.
Lastly, the almost end of the story. Okay, Ginny has found out what Draco has tried to conceal this entire time(the memories). There are several possibilities here, each as likely as the next, but I will start with the first one.
This was Lucius’s plan all along. Or perhaps a back up plan, should his initial one fail. Now, the second possibility/part. Maybe Draco KNEW that this was his father’s plan, and had agreed to it. Maybe he even found out that Ginny was Marie, and since Marie betrayed him, he seeks revenge. I am sticking with my theory that somehow Ginny is Marie.
Okay…I an done. I know this is an extensively long review, but these cookies really made me think.

Author's Response: I definitely like the idea of Ginny's self-renewing coffeepot. Since it's magical, that would also mean that I could actually HAVE coffee. I'm pretty sure there's a way to do story alerts... I'll look into it as soon as I get back from Hagen's (the grocery store here. I'm about to go on my first trip!) Trust me, a lot of intriguing things will happen in the next few chapters, including one thing that might cause readers to want to chase me around wielding butter knives if I'm mean enough to end the chapter in a certain place. But it will all be okay. ;)
