Why was Ginny Weasley standing in a circle of robed and cloaked figures, swathed in black except for her uncovered left arm? Why was the littlest member of a family ruled by a muggle-obsessed patriarch awaiting being branded with the Dark Mark?Category: Completed Short Stories
I found this through a reccomendation by jandjsalmon on the forums. I'm liking the reasons why Ginny chose to join the new Death Eaters, in that she spent years pondering the issues, and then only making a decision after learning as much as she could about the topic. I also liked that Draco cared so much about his family, nice touch. This is a really good one-shot, I really enjoyed it.
Masterless, loyal to nothing and no one, Draco still has one tie that he cannot abandon - his marriage in name only to Ginny Weasley.Category: Long and Completed
I found this fic through a recommendation, and wonder that I had not heard of it before. Typically, there is something so difficult when it comes to actually writing about love that will last beyond lust. But you did a wonderful job of pacing and developing Dracos' emotional state---showing that happily ever after does not obligatorily come with a white knight (or instant 'true love'). The development of the lesser characters as well, especially Arthur, showed that love stories are not cookie cutter/isolated daydreams. It showed that the other people always have motives beyond finding happiness (or pain) for the protagonists. So many fics lack this understanding, and not only do you grasp the concept, but you practice it beautifully. This is a truly great fic.
