It was the admission of his defeat. Ginny felt the taste of victory - and it was bitter.
“I want influence. I want protection. I want safety.” She stopped, giving him time to assimilate her words, before she played her final card. "I want your name. " When saying the last sentence, however, she could not help the blush that spread across her face.
Malfoy's countenance changed several times in a very short time. Annoyance turned into wariness, then into confusion, and finally, when he really understood what Ginny had implied, his face showed only a profound horror.
I want your name.
I want a marriage.

Author's Response: Oh dear! Please forgive me. But ir order to do this, I needed three things:
- get Lucius out of the way.
- get Harry out of the way.
- Ginny must be pregnant.
The third point is already in motion. There are few things more ruthless than an obstinate mother protecting her child at all costs. We'll see it in Ginny, in Narcissa, maybe in Molly.
It's this child who will move the story forward because it's through it that Ginny will cross moral and social barriers that, under normal conditions, she would never cross.
Hope you can understand me.
Oh and I want to thank you that you did not describe HG "nightly activities" in details here.

Anyway, as long as Draco and Ginny ends up together and maybe...you know...have children...and also maybe if you show the journey to parenthood and they fall deeply in love during that journey...I don't know...just an imagination...

Author's Response: hahaha, I would NEVER describe the "nightly activities" between Harry and Ginny. I've already struggled doing that with Draco and Ginny, I wouldn't waste my words on a ship that isn't mine = P

I can't imagine Ginny not wanting her baby (of course, she had EVERY right to do so), but I don't think it would do her character justice. I believe family means everything to Ginny - and also to Draco, in a different way.

Author's Response: Yes, she's almost a Hercule Poirot haha. Hiding the pregnancy from Draco is not a smart move at all, but as I like to think, none of them is perfect. We tend to be a bit dumb when we're in stressful situations, haha
But I guarantee you that she will have a lot of doubts about it - tell or not tell.
Ohhh, how much hurt in this little heart of yours regarding Ron and Hermione, hahaha. I can't judge, really. Sometimes I feel the same while writing them. =)

Alright, we are in the battle now and everyone else seems to be taking on their canon roles(you know what I mean). But is it for now? Cuz Ginny is in a bad accident. I really liked that you have more or less set the characters in places where they have been in the actual book or atleast similar situation in this context. It makes easier for me to deduce. Like for example, in many stories, the characters change their position or action. Which is fine, cuz these are fanfictions. But the problem occurs when one particular action was done or involved with 2 or more people in the original story. One of these character will do something different in a ff, then I read and wonder how the course of action is changed for those other characters. It's like a chain. I should stop wondering so much!
Anyway, the change, or main point stays on Ginny and it makes me focus more on the plot progress. So yay!
Now I am curious if Draco's action will be different in the ROR and how much the outcome will be altered cuz of that...

Author's Response: Hello! There's no such thing like 'wondering too much' hehe. It's the best part!
Until the very end of the next chapter, the characters will limit themselves to what they did at the Battle of Hogwarts (after that, it'll be anoooother universe that I'm really excited to write about).
It means, for example, that the results of the Room of Requirement will remain the same. And, as something to think about, we also don't know for sure what happens to Draco after Harry saves him and they leave the Room of Requirement. -wink-
HOWEVER, I used a subterfuge here (I have no shame, I admit). We see the books through Harry's eyes. Then we don't know for sure what happened to Ginny, for instance.
I took advantage of this to have a poetic license and make up a whole scenario where SHE is our leading actress. Especially because she's a much more fun character, just between you and me.
I don't even have to say how much I like your comments, right? They always make me think and question myself if I'm on the right track.
I can't thank you enough! I hope you continue to enjoy reading in the same proportion I'm enjoying writing it.

NO ONE has the right to judge Ginny. Not her family, her friends, the good side, ANYONE.
Ron is a great friend but he has failed as a brother and an uncle.
No matter how bad things are, just telling Ginny that Harry is alive, would have been okay.

Author's Response: I totally understand you, I swear. And that was my intention, to show the golden trio is also formed by humans and that they will make mistakes and screw things up.
But don't be upset. Think that it was Ron and Hermione's actions (and later Harry's, I suppose) that will make Ginny get even closer to Draco.
And you're right too! No one has the right to judge Ginny! Maybe Draco, who was her victim, but she did her best with the information she had at the time.

In my mind, the reason they didn't tell Ginny anything isn't linked to the fact that she wouldn't have kept the secret Harry was alive. I'm pretty sure she would, as Ginny is extremely reliable and loyal.
I think Ron and Hermione's decision has more to do with the fact that they know - as we do - that Ginny would wait for Harry as long as it was necessary. And what chance of happiness and safety would she have, being stuck with someone who might never wake up again?
Certainly, it wasn't their decision to make and they were extremely pretentious and sneaky, like good martyrs they are.
But, when they weren't in the books, right? Especially Ron (and Harry himself)
The chemistry is shifting between our most favourite couple.
I want Draco and James to interact more. Their meetings are cute and funny in a weird way XD
* Personal wish: I want James to support Draco or like him more, or just want him as his dad when Harry will be back which he'll be obviously. (from whichever hell-hole he is in).

I wonder if Draco would have hurt Charlie if Ginny had not come in between? I know he was taunting and all and was in "attacking mode" (I don't know that it's called lol) but would he have harmed Charlie?
Will Ginny ask him? I mean it should be very, very difficult, Okay, impossible (atleast for me) for someone to be romantically involved with a guy who have intended to kill your brother (a really great brother).

And you are right, it would be impossible for Ginny to love someone who had hurt her family so deeply. That's why I THINK Draco wouldn't cause Charlie any major problem.

Yeah, James-Harry will have a relationship, it's inevitable and it's fair with Harry. He deserves to have this kind of love.
But love is not excludent, right? James will love Draco as well and their relationship will definitely be something special and unique!
Obviously Draco and James would never be the idealistic father-son!! I mean I myself do not want that! But their connection can be like they may bicker, even insult. But James would always get defensive when someone says smth bad about Draco. Definitely NOT when he is there.
