...and I hope this will carry on to become more than just a one-shot fic?

Author's Response: I would love to add more. I haven\'t had much time to write lately. Thank you : )

Apparently, it could.

"One teenage boy named Timothy Brightwell was none too bright; after Oliver blocked ten out of ten of his throws, he flew himself into the goal, knocking Oliver off his broom in the process. Oliver was furious. The coach was mildly impressed, but crossed Brightwell off the list before Oliver had an apoplexy." ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT LINE! It's similar to that weird, quirky sense of humor you can find in the actual books. It's perfect considering the wackiness of the wizarding world. Love it.

Author's Response: Thank you for reading!

Fleur de Lis by Lunaeyes    (Reviews - 350)

He showed her everything. What they didn’t get to the first day, after flying kites and riding boats and feeding swans, they did the next day, and the next. She realized, after spending seemingly endless weeks with him, that she didn’t want to go home, but go home she must.

Ten years have passed. They’ll always have Paris.

So at first I was a little bit put-off by Ginny's explosion, because it seemed a little extreme. I feel as though Ginny wouldn't let emotions build up inside of her to that extent before blowing up. Inside my head, she's a bit more practical and laid-back. ie. If some situation or person bothers her, she'll let the person know, practically and simply. However, besides that--LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT! Especially where I think the plot is going. :) It's such an inventive way to tweak that darn last chapter of DH. And of course the Draco+Ginny+Paris could never go wrong. I can't wait for your next chapter, much like I couldn't wait for this second one. Again, LOVE the idea. Cheers!

Author's Response: Thanks for explaining what you liked and did not like. I myself always saw Ginny as a very fiery person, and that is why I wrote her outburst. But I appreciate your thoughts very much. Thanks for such thoughtful comments!

Draco's sinking reaction when he bumps into Ginny-and-company seems very in character--much better than him seeking her out, groveling. However, I still desperately await when he really 'falls for her.' (If that's what you could call it, anyway. This Draco doesn't seem the type to fall. Hunt, more like.)

Anyway, you've definitely started something I want to keep reading!

Puppeteer of Fate by Clorinda    (Reviews - 5)

The Carrows, not Headmaster Snape are ruling Hogwarts, and as the DA play with guerrilla warfare, Draco and Ginny are trapped in a strange waltz of good and evil— and the undefined forces that lie in between. Defying truth and gravity isn't as impossible as it sounds. One-shot.

Another chapter! Another chapter! This is one of the first fics I've read from the Carrow vs DA time period. It seemed to me it would be a perfect backdrop for a DG story--and here you've proven me right. I thought your Draco and Ginny were very in-character, up until Ginny started giggling. That felt a bit abrupt. (But then, I've never thought of her as much of a giggler.) It had some dark tones, but you managed not to over do it. ...could you be encouraged to turn this into a 3000-chapter-long story?

Author's Response: \r\nI really don\'t think I could make this into even a two-chapter story. It was hard enough not to overdo *any*thing in one chapter, (especially in the Forbidden Forest scene) and while I\'m not afraid of a little hard work, I\'m deathly terrified of undoing whatever hard work I\'ve already done. But tell you what: there\'s a compromise. I\'ve been meaning to write a longer story (in the same vein) but it reworks the HBP scenario, so it won\'t reach the Carrows versus the DA timeline (I agree that\'s a good DG backdrop, since IMHO, that\'s where Harry\'s out of the loop, and DG can run wild.) (There\'s a icon I found somewhere, with Felton and Ginny\'s actress from the CoS movie, which bore the slogan: \"We\'re actually kissing in the corridors in canon.\" Apply that to the DH, and you\'ve hit something bang-on.)\r\n\r\nThanks for calling them in-character. Draco crying is one thing, Draco being scared witless by Ginny\'s glare is one thing altogether. I haven\'t thought Ginny was a giggly-type either, so maybe I should change that to laughter. The mental picture and impression was of a nervy Ginny blowing off steam, so I guess that needs work. I\'ll go back and make the minor alterations soon.\r\n\r\nThanks for the concrit!\r\nCheers,\r\nClorinda.\r\n

So the story begins with a typical Weasley argument. It's funny- it's a fairly common scene in stories, but it never, ever gets old. (Mostly because there are so many ways Ron and Ginny can argue, and I've got an older brother myself.)

I can't imagine the Malfoy's having a lemur statue. Yes, I picture them as supremely rich, and therefore into expensive art, but somehow I see their taste as more classic. But I don't know how much humor you intend to have in this...

A minor detail I was particularly touched by was the fact the carpet was wine red. So many people completely green-out the manor. Thanks for that! :)

I thought it was a creative twist to have Lucius as the person under the cloak, because of course I assumed it was going to be Draco. Now I am inticipating the actual meeting of the two even more.

I am still trying to work out who did each action in the second-to-last paragraph.

Overall, it was easy to read, and I really want the next chapter to appear soon!

Author's Response: I\'ve always thought Ron\'s a great character to have an argument with.\r\nI like writing random humor, and the lemur was evidence of that, haha. \r\nThank you for noticing the wine-red carpet! I thought briefly about making it green, but for one it\'s way too obvious, and secondly it sounds really tacky to me.\r\nThe Lucius thing...if you read my other fic you\'ll see that I like to take my time with the Draco and Ginny interaction ;)\r\nThe confusing second-to-last paragraph was intentional, as I wanted to give out that hectic vibe. Ginny is basically supposed to be absolutely blindsided. Though if you really want to know, Ginny drops the parchment and yells out a curse - hence Lucius being cut in the arm at the end. Everything else is him.\r\nThank you so much for you review, I love knowing what the reader thinks. And I\'m glad you like it so far :)
