So I'm definitely re-doing Angel's Fire and That's The Way Love Goes. I've decided that I'm going to finish those, re-angle their plots, all that good jazz. You're free to read them in their current forms, but do know that its going to be a re-vamp in every way possible sooner or later.

This was my favorite part. ^^ All of those excuses, Ginny. Tsk tsk tsk. You're just in one big mess! XD
Scorpius is just my favorite. He knows everything! I really can't wait to see if he has more parts here. Astoria and Ginny are really good friends to try and comfort each other with lies, but I know sooner or later the truth will come out. ;)

So, i'm reading this beautiful piece of suspense while I am at work. You have me really trying not to make excited squeals while I am sneaking and reading your vivid chapter. When I am bored in work, I read D&G and I am always checking your story to see if its updated.
I do hope that Ginny hasn't been left behind. I cringed at the ankle twisting, it was too vivid in my mind. You have an excellent talent for painting the scene in our mind's eye. I felt it when they were panicking, I felt it when the bullet grazed Ginny, I feel Draco's pain and xhaustion, even when he's trying not to. You are just holding my interest so tightly, I don't think you'll ever get rid of it haha.
Please never stop writing. I adore it!

I love it too much, and this story has been a lot of fun to write. I get caught up in the action as I write it, but because I revise so heavily, I become all uncertain of how it turns out in the end. He’d loosened his robes at the neck, and the sliver of skin she saw at the top of his chest looked so pale. She’d stripped that chest bare now, and kissed every inch of it. She’d run her fingers over his shoulders, now slumped against the wall as if he’d fall to the floor without its support. She’d –

Did I mention how much I love contradicting!Ginny?
I like how she knows that the offer to be his Mistress is very tempting, and is actually considering it at this point despite knowing her pride. It does she that she wants to be with him, she aches to be with him, and realistically speaking, she's almost, almost not too prideful for it. If she were a tiny bit less herself, she'd run into Draco's arms in that way. But when you had Draco completely take away that possibility by saying he was still going to fight Astoria for proper divorce, I squealed literally. He's learned much about what Ginny wants from him, and I know that's a hard thing to learn. It seems that Draco is really doing what he can to make her happy.
I do have a feeling that Draco won't be able to completely protect Ginny from the uprising scandal to come. Knowing Ginny and her tendency to be naive, she's probably going to stumble face first into some slandering crap. Astoria isn't exactly the dumbest lady in the world, and I'm sure her cunning mind is going to try and come up with something to use against poor Ginny and Draco. She's really the perfect antagonist. xD
I agree with the others when I say I'm glad they didn't have sex in the end. It seems a lot more tender that Draco touches Ginny only for the comfort and he only seemed to be able to sleep when she was in his presence.
I do have a feeling that Astoria won't be the only antagonist they're going to have to face. *looks at Norbert Nosselthorpe. . .*

Author's Response: Ginny is contradictory here, for sure. I think she knew what was coming... ;) Yes, even then, she was tempted by the sort-of-hinted-at Malfoy-mistress offer. But I think she knew by this point that she could not give in or she would truly lose herself. Luckily, she didn't have to, because Draco came through. I'm not going to say that he's necessarily being completely honest about everything here... but he's telling the truth about the annulment. Oh, and there are going to be a few different antagonists... Harry hasn't exactly fallen off a cliff! More soon...

A great chapter, Anise. I can feel the emotion flowing in Ginny that she can't deny, and its soooo sweetly conflicting to Ginny's usually strong-willed nature. I know its a powerful thing to be bonded to Draco Malfoy. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's Response: Oh, it's not wrong at all... ;) George is right to be concerned for his sister, even if only because of the fact that he knows what the Malfoys have always been (although he certainly doesn't know the worst.) And as we shall see, there's a lot more to consider than just whether Draco is telling the truth about the annulment. He truly is trying to be what Ginny wants... but it doesn't come naturally. I love how the sequel started. I read The Journey Home and really enjoyed the concept of Ginny's journey through her grief in the form of vengence. In the sequel, it seems that she has finally come to terms with Fred's death. This makes me happy for Ginny, and its always a treat for Draco to play a good part in her life.
I do wonder how this will affect her performance with Moody in the Archives though. She joined Moody for her grief, if i'm correct. I really want updates! I'm hooked!

I'm extremely grateful that you updated this, and with such a lovely chapter. I know my mom would have lost her mind if I disappeared for a few months only to appear in a man's pajamas. Molly's reaction is totally justified. I love how close knit the Weasleys are in this story as well. Too many D&G fics don't possess that family feeling of love perfectly. They either overdo it or they alienate Ginny from her family. You have a nice balance.
Please keep updating. Draco made me smile when he assisted her with Mom and Dad, haha. He's a keeper.
Author's Response: I'm glad that you said that Molly's reaction came across with the right balance. I agree, many fics bother me because someone's reaction (either Ginny or her parents) are too extreme or unrealistic. But, real families do have disagreements, and they get upset, and I really didn't think that it would be right for her parents to just ignore the fact that she went off on her own. I also didn't want Ginny to overreact because she understands that she'd been a bit forgetful of her parents' feelings. However, I'm struggling a bit getting that in the next chapter, because there's a bit of background that needs to happen to kick Ginny into her next adventure, but I don't want the family stuff to get overdone or repetitive or boring. :) Wish me luck! :D
And Draco really got a kick out of misleading Molly, methinks. He's such a Slytherin. :)

I've been so busy with work and real life, I didn't have time to review. But oh my goodness. I love what you have done with the companion fic. I love your take on how Rolling in the Deep came to this conclusion. Its all stuck in my head now, I can't imagine it to be any other way!
I guessed correctly, by the way, about Ginny's "first lover". I thought that it was something about the current Draco being the Draco she didn't remember back in their Hogwarts years, as that Draco was much, much kinder and innocent in comparison to Cursed!Draco. I nearly cried when Draco sacrificed himself in order to save them both from the dark curse, and I nearly bawled when he watched her grow from his spot in the sky. (He was in the sky, wasn't he?)
I can't wait to read the epilogue chapter. This was just soooo good. T__T!
Author's Response: The epilogue's about half done... so it's DEFINITELY on its way. SO glad you're liking the way this fic is turning out! :) I didn't know if you'd guessed the meaning of what Ginny said correctly, but I thought you had... and sure enough, you did. (Hands Rinney the Psychic Reviewer Crown. This one has tanzanite, but it can be customized.) I think where this entire plot actually came from was the question of whether there was any realistic way to get a "happy" ending out of it. You wrote such perfect angst that I really couldn't think of how it could happen in Draco and Ginny's lifetimes. But it occurred to me that this span of time wasn't necessarily the only one available. What else... well, it's hard to say where people literally end up while waiting to see if they've reached Nirvana yet, but Draco did experience the afterworld as taking place in the sky, up in the stars. And that epilogue. Well, the meaning of the title of the fic will finally become clear. That's all I'll say! ;)

Oh. My. Gooooooooooooooooood.
Three chapters you said? Oh my goodness, Anise. This is starting off so wonderfully! I must say that you've taken my Draco and you're bringing him to the heights of lunacy I imagined and more. His obsession is so real and so thriving, its nearly terrifying. No, forget that. It is terrifying. I fear for my little Ginny all over again.
I really love how well you're playing their madness as well. Ginny may as well have been slapped with a Confundus charm, but what made my heart stop for that moment was when she confessed that he wasn't her first lover. I think, I think I know where you're going with that, but I'm going to hold my breath and see what comes next from it.
I will be reviewing every chapter, of course. This looks amazing so far!
@ humaria: I'm not trying to shamelessly promote my fic here, but it would really help if you did take the time to read it. Anise touched on a lot of some snippets from Rolling in the Deep, but you wouldn't understand how they did end up at this point less you want to take the time to read the first fic. =) Her fic's really good enough to where it could stand alone, however, if you just want to read the story where it starts from Crazy Point A and continues on down the line. If it helps, Rolling is only 8 chapters long. =)
Author's Response: Thanks! Yay! (Does the Happy Original Author Likes the Companion Fic dance.) I do think that Draco has *pretty much* completely lost his sanity here. But there are still a few things... one thing that really stuck in my mind from RItD (well, the way I interpreted this, anyway) was that Draco could have killed Colleen when he took Ginny from the hospital. It would have been safer to take care of the problem that way. But he didn't, and I think it was because Ginny was watching him. Also, he was smart enough to hide them both at Malfoy Manor, betting that whatever the Ministry had done would be meaningless because the house would recognize him as the heir. So he wouldn't qualify for an insanity defense (those are really hard to get, btw.)
Now, if anybody can guess where this is headed, it's you. ;) But I *will* say that Draco was indeed Ginny's first. (although as we now know, she wasn't his.) There are a lot of mysteries and lies in MoS, but that's not one of them. So the obvious question is: why did Ginny get confused? Was it only because Draco drove her all the way into madness and she's confused about everything, or is it for some other reason? (shakes crystal ball) Something tells me that some answers are coming soon...

Draco and Ginny's courtship is so smooth, delicate, and sultry all at once. I love it and I want to see more. I love how Ginny is going from everything lost to finding her place in the world. Its nice to see someone truly grow from unfortunate events.
I would hope that her conversion from a nobody to a chic princess will be noticed by her family, and especially, Molly and Harry. I just want to see that drama, aha!
Author's Response: I'm so happy you see that she's gaining so much out of the unfortunate circumstances she was in at the beginning. Not many people appreciate the growth in that respect. Most people just can't wait for the confrontations.
While she's growing as an individual I also wanted the relationship with Draco to grow naturally. I didn't want them to meet one week and then are madly in love the next. I'm glad you like the progression.
I love that you said she's a princess now because her relationship with Draco will turn her into such a media darling that Harry is just going to die of jealously. There will be more drama to come.
