Hey there!

So I hope you take the time to enjoy my stories. I'm just cranking them out as I come along. So far, I've met a wonderful Beta. Her name's cherryredxx and she's amazing at what she does. I hope I get to keep her as my beta and lock her down next to me forever and ever, Amen.

So I'm definitely re-doing Angel's Fire and That's The Way Love Goes. I've decided that I'm going to finish those, re-angle their plots, all that good jazz. You're free to read them in their current forms, but do know that its going to be a re-vamp in every way possible sooner or later.

I have too much time on my hands, honestly. I can't wait to get a life so I won't be on here all of the time. Kidding, kidding. I love FIA too much. See you guys next time!

The Whispered Truth by SunnyStorms    (Reviews - 28)

Ginny Weasley had finally grown up. That little girl who dreamed of a fairytale wedding with her one true prince was gone. And good riddance. She didn't care about any of that now. No, really, she didn't.

Chapter 5 Snippet:

"Honestly, sometimes I haven't a clue what to do with you," he muttered before downing the rest of his wine.

"I don't know about that," she said with a playful waggle of her eyebrows. "Experience says you seem to be fairly knowledgeable in
that area."

He latched onto the line as she knew he would, irritation giving way to a wicked gleam in his eyes. "Really now, but how long has it been? Perhaps we should refresh your memory just to be sure."

You should EXPAND this. Expand it as far as your muses will take you!

[ Hopefully they won't go wild like a certain amazing D/G author I know ~. ]

This is hot, amusing to read, and just oozing with a dynamic plot in the makings. Love it!

Author's Response: I definitely am! The plot is outlined and everything too. :) The Draco and Ginny from this story have turned out to be very vocal. They keep having conversations in my head when I'm trying to write other works, so I've been recording down scenes of them all this time. Now just to tie it all together. Thanks for reading and commenting!

Hot.

Smutty.

Not filled with too outrageous elements.

Leaves a very sexy after taste.

The Girl With the Taxi Driver by Anise    (Reviews - 49)

The war is over, and so is Draco Malfoy's world. He has run as far as he can, and now, as a taxi driver in a world that has no more magic, he has come to the end of the line... or so he thinks. But when he finds the former Ginny Weasley, he learns just how many mysteries remain to be solved... and how much hope can still be found.

Chapter SEVEN quote of the day:

At three in the morning, Draco turns off the sign on top of his cab and pulls into the parking lot of the pancake house. He sees her small figure tucked into a seat in the corner table. It sends a pang of something like fear through him when he gets an inkling of just how happy he is to see her.

Ginny slides into a molded plastic seat. “I’m hungry. Want to split some pancakes?”

She eats ravenously when they arrive, tearing apart the pats of butter in their foil wrapping, ripping the cover off the sealed plastic pouches of syrup. “I shouldn’t have coffee this late. I’ll never get to sleep. I never do before five or six anyway, so I guess it doesn’t matter.”

This casual Ginny. Flippant. She does not want him to feel sorry for her. She will not accept his pity. He admires her. He wonders just how many Ginnys there are. He wants to meet them all. That scares him, too.

Its incredibly sad what has befallen the Wizarding World. But, as always, I'm quite sure you have future chapters in which we learn about Harry's plan as a whole. What made him sacrifice magic and deal world-wide exposure to win the war? What provoked such desperate actions? Did he have some sort of political deal with the world powers to come through that failed? My mind is boggling with the questions.

But, while we're on the subject - YAY GINNY AND DRACO FOUND EACH OTHER AGAIN! I already know your NC-17 warning is going to be full of action and drama, and man I cannot wait.

Terrorists? That had to be a shock for every magical folk in the world. The poor children at the magical schools even fell victim to such accusations? Its realistic, as the real world itself fears what it doesn't understand.

Its heart wrenching and I want more!

Author's Response: Thanks! :) So I'm at home with horrible flu, which means I'm responding to all of these reviews today...

Harry's actions aren't really explained for awhile, but for most of what happened, there isn't really a reason to keep a secret at this point either. Basically, Kingsley Shacklebolt had been killed in the destroying-Voldemort operation, and the wizarding government pretty much fell apart. Harry got talked into stepping up and taking political power. (Some things just aren't a good idea...) So he tried to make a deal with the British government. Lucius Malfoy was supposed to be easily capturable. (Is that a word? It is now.) Harry's announcements were supposed to prep everyone to think of LM as the scary terrorist type, and the idea was that the "good side" would be treated fairly and given recognition and a seat at the U.N. (I doubt they would ever make it into G8, though.)

I actually have a backstory for a lot of this political maneuvering, none of which is probably ever going to make it into the fic itself. The British government wanted to make their nation into the kind of world power they used to be in, say, the Victorian age, when the sun never set on the British empire. And if they could have gotten the full power of the magical world behind them, this would have happened. HOWEVER, it all fell apart when LM disappeared and could not be found, and all magic essentially disappeared (the reason why is still unknown.) Now, as y'all may imagine, Tony Blair's attempt at an unshared power grab did not really sit that well with other world governments, even Britain's allies. (We're in 2002, remember!) I especially picture Karl Rove in a hissy fit for some reason. ;) What made it even worse was that the entire thing had been such a failure. So a scapegoat was needed... and the no-longer-magical world was a perfect target. Anyway, more soon! :)

While I'm absolutely dying for Malfoy in a Glass, Darkly, and the Sequel for DDD, I must admit that your new fics always throw me for an "OMG" surprise whenever I see them. I become horrifically invested and engrossed in everything you write, Anise. Its ridiculous.

So, let's break down what I love about this first chapter:

1) WHAT AN INTRODUCTION. We get the feeling of this setting - an inner and outer despair of a wizard, powerful in his own right, losing his previous life, his magic [ I am guessing here ], his sense of time and even holding onto the threads of what remains of his identity. I love, love, love how the world around him reflects this disoriented, detached melancholy that has struck our poor Draco as well. The air of hopelessness and mundane living is tact deep within your vivid descriptions, and it makes me wonder how there will ever be a bright side to this.

2) The idea of sexuality and its reference/alignment to historical aristocracy. I've always loved how this element is used to subtly explain how powerful and rich one's genetic history is - and the Malfoys are no exception. Without throwing it directly in our face, you've given us a major on how strong their family's bloodline and lifestyle was and I cannot help but think that in a world of non-magic, the Malfoys had to be one of the hardest families to suffer through. I also love the idea of Draco not taking random women to bed to find a sort of peace through this; he acknowledges the idea, and even knows it may be helpful, but in the end, what is the point?

3) The hints of Ginny. Or, what I'd like to believe is Ginny. We're not sure just how much of a profound effect Ginny has on him in this chapter, and I adore that because it leaves so much room for skepticism. We're left to wonder all sorts of details: were they open with their relationship? Were they happy before? Why does Draco want to never think about her again? What will happen next?!

4) How you portray the side characters. This has always been one of my favorite things about your writing - because it isn't a world solely centered on the development of D x G. Blaise Zabini's entrance pretty much single-handly told me the extent of how messed up the wizarding world was at this point: moving from one of the more prestigious British families into being a rent-boy just to survive. And there are more like them. I just love how he was able to push the intrigue so much more forward, and I'm actually to see who else besides our lovely two has been affected by this mysterious incident.

So, you must now update because I am totally reading.

Author's Response: What a great review! Yay! CATCH!! (throws a review crown. Do you want diamonds, or emeralds, or...? Personally, I like tanzanite. ;) Wow, so much to think about in this review. For whatever reason, setting has ended up being crucial here. I tried to capture the seedier parts of Portland at their worst. (But I'm NOT sending poor Draco out to Gresham. some things are just too cruel...) And the setting does end up being important. This is a very despairing Draco, at the end of his rope in the way that I think he would be, just sort of slowly sinking further and further. But he does start to fight against those forces pretty soon. And we'll also see more people from the magical world. Much more soon! :)

Something about the smut scene is so chilling. It tells a lot about Ginny's current condition in so little words and - ahem - actions. You see a bit into her mentality, what the banishment of magic has placed her through, and yet you're left with so many questions you cannot help but want to know more. Unlike your other Ginnys, I see that this one was more straight-forward and willing to touch Draco. It makes me wonder if that makes her more pained than the previous versions where there was always a slight hesitation and fright in the presence of Draco.

And poor Draco, how helpless he had became in her hands. It was delicious and yet, so sad. He awakened and came to life just like that, only to be left with curiosity and a tie that will draw him even more towards the truth about Ginny. I have a feeling someone is in trouuuuubllllle. . . !

Author's Response: Thanks! :) I really see that chilling quality too. I love that you get the distinction-- her hesitation and nervousness were a part of this Ginny's reactions to Draco in the past, but a whole lot has changed since the end of the war. Poor Draco indeed, but now that he's starting to wake up, he has a new purpose in life for the first time in years. And he won't let Ginny get away. ;)

It is hard to say which of the two had it the most difficult. I can easily say that it was Ginny if I wanted to go from strict story perspective: being ordered to kill Draco and the pressure of losing her reputation, her family, and at the end, her life at the hands of a man she had came to love.

But then I cannot help but think about Draco and what it must possibly feel like to know that the woman you love will one day take your life for the sake of the 'good' guys. Its like a dangerous survival game between the two of them, and the only thing sparing them from the ultimate end is this thickening tie and undeniable attraction that's between the two.

But theeeen, I start to think "What if Draco was just playing a trap and waited until the moment where Ginny was the most vunerable to take advantage?" It would be so much like Slytherin!Draco, the Dark Wizard progeny, to wait until his conquestor was honestly broken and stripped of everything before making that Checkmate at the end and claiming the title of victor.

But theeeeen, I wonder exactly how did Ginny become so bewitched in the first place. Did something go wrong? Was she attempting to seduce the darkly, dangerous Malfoy first and the tides turn? Was the sex so great in between them that it made her objective no longer worth it? What was the driving point that made her change her mind in such a dangerous situation? Love is strong, but Ginny is usually stronger.

It leaves me wondering which of the two really had that breaking point. That point that said "I will/will not kill her/him."

Author's Response: Thanks for your review! This story was so so fun to write. As a reader, you're never really meant to know exactly why this whole thing happened, and I'm so glad that it was thought-provoking enough for you to sit there and really wonder about it. Means I did my job. ;)

This story brings a lot of questions to the mind - and for me, that's a wonderful trait because it always, always makes me want to know more! I have never read a fic in this type of pseudo-communistic setting for DxG, so I am pumped to see what type of direction this is bound to take. I want to know what happened to the Wizarding World for it to get to this point. I want to know why everyone seems to be strangers to each other. I want to know why its rated Extremely Naughty. [ I'm bad, hehe :p ]

This is an excellent set up for what looks to be a promising, heart-wrenching, terrifying, and deliciously drama-filled story. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Author's Response: Well, if you read the second chapter, you'll see why it's rated Extremely Naughty. ;) Haha, thank you so much for the review! I'm really happy to know that it's piqued your curiosity so much - I have to give credit to Orwell's 1984, and also a tiny skewed bit of USSR history. I hope you'll continue to enjoy this story as it progresses!

I'm looking forward to reading this essay, as well as taking part of the discussions that I know will indeed follow this essay.

Being a fan going on 8 years of D/G royalty, I do believe that this upcoming Era of the pairing can be bigger and better than ever. Our dominion of the first Era was mostly fueled by the fact that the HP books were coming out around the years where these pairings were thriving, so we had new material to work with as well as the universe expanded along with our creativity. But great things do not need to end simply because a series ended. In fact, now that we have all of the HP books out to follow along with the canon, our imaginations no longer need to be limited by the prospect of "What comes next." We know what comes next in the canonverse, so what's left for us now is "How do we take this -farther-?" The possibilities are now endless, and that's why I personally believe that the next Era can, and will, be better for us to take our favorite pairing and soar.

I really do look forward to reading this and adding my own two-cents as it goes along!

Author's Response: Yay! I love this review!! I think you say it well. Yes, it was fun to work with emerging canon, but the thing is that we always KNEW that a D/G ship wasn't going to happen there. (Even though I do think that more D/G interaction was originally planned for the books... anyway, I'll get into that in the next chapter.) We have so many possibilities now... so many places that we can go. And I'm going to talk about why and how! :)

I must give you kudos for this wonderful story. Its so captivating, Ron and Draco's interactions are just so cute, I need to see what happens next! Even Fred and George being friendly with Draco after he saved Ginny just made my heart flutter in a good way. Its rare to see a fic that works in this angle so well, you should really be proud of yourself for this astounding first chapter.

I'll definitely be reading this one, keep it updated as much as your plot bunny will let you!

Of Sun Breaks and Salacious Delights by Anise    (Reviews - 145)

+++

Ginny fled the wizarding world when betrayal, deception, and heartbreak tore apart her life. A year later, she lives and works as a Muggle-- and the co-owner of Athena's Saucy Shoppe of Salacious Delights. But she's about to learn that it isn't so easy to leave the past behind... especially when it comes packaged in the person of Draco Malfoy.

Chapter TWENTY Quote of the Day:

Ginny tried again, deciding that it was time for her glowering blond companion to help her out whether he wanted to not.

“It’s so great to catch up with old friends, Draco. Don’t you think?” She jabbed Draco lightly in the ribs under cover of darkness.

Draco clamped his hand around her waist like a band of iron. Oh, no, Ginny thought despairingly. This was not going well.

"She's mine alone,” said Draco.

"But she's got other customers, right?" asked Theo.

"She is not to be shared,” said Draco. “I… ah… don't share my toys. You ought to remember that, Nott.”

"But if she's no more than a toy, then it shouldn't matter." Nott's expression was turning crafty. Suddenly, Ginny had a very, very bad feeling about what might happen next.

“Seems as if you shouldn’t mind sharing Ginny with me, don’t you think, Malfoy? After all we’ve been through together? You know what I mean, don’t you?”
