A foul curse cast on Hermione and Ginny leaves them forced to search out one vital ingredient from their soul mates. Will Draco and Severus help them in their time of need? This is my response to a Potter Place Winter Prompt Challenge.Category: Long and Completed
This seems like an interesting beginning, and I am looking forward to seeing how both relationships develop after the bindings. Thanks for posting!
Author's Response: Thank you! I am glad you like it so far!
Author's Response: Thank you! I have the next chapter written and it's with my beta now. So it shouldn't be too much longer!
Whatever Ginny and Hermione do, it will serve their husbands right! Bastards. Thanks for the update! You managed to get my heart pounding with this chapter!
I'm glad that Ginny is finally coming around. Hopefully things will keep getting better for her and Draco. And I'm interested to see what you have planned to redeem Lucius--it is certainly going to take something pretty huge!
Author's Response: Thanks Embellished! Yes, they will get better. She loves him, she was just too stubborn to admit it. Well, I think it\'s big--hope you will too!
I'm not sure Lucius's story quite redeems him, though it looks like he is on the right path, as long as he makes the changes he needs to. It does help to know why he acted that way, though.
The relative calm at the end of this chapter makes me nervous. What new challenge do you have in store for the characters? I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for the update!
Draco wants Ginny, but she knows it's only a prank...right?Category: Completed Short Stories
Hee hee. That's very cute! I particularly liked the bit where Draco explains Ginny's reactions to her, and she is still oblivious. Thanks for posting!
Nineteen-year-old Draco Malfoy has moved to Japan to prove himself a better man than his father. As he gets ready to settle down with the love of his life, he is totally unaware that hell is about to break loose.Category: Works in Progress
I'm enjoying this story so far. It is certainly different from a lot of the other stories I read. I'm interested to find out how Draco and Ginny got together in the first place, and, of course, what is going to happen next!
One heartbroken witch, one Death Eater wizard, a dash of Firewhisky and a Muggle pub all add up to a dark and twisted romance with buckets of angst and a shot of humour. “Be careful, Gin. Not only is he a little unbalanced, but he’s also got the worst of the wizarding world out to kill him. Call me if you need me.”Category: Works in Progress
Ooh! I'm thrilled to see that you are working on this again. I'm looking forward to seeing what changes you make (that is, if I can remember the original in enough detail), and how everything turns out.
As always, I love the way you manipulate words. You manage to convey character so well with so little. In this chapter, I particularly liked the passage, "The second time he wrestled her to the ground, a week later, she told him if he wanted to speak with her, don't, for Merlin's sake, throw her on the ground again, or he would meet with the business end of her wand in the most unpleasant way possible, no magic necessary." That one made me laugh out loud, and it says so much about both Ginny and Draco.
Thanks for posting!
The story is starting to come back to me now. :) I think what I like best about this chapter is Ginny's reactions to Draco. I love her confusion and ultimately her acceptance. Thanks for posting!
Author's Response: Thank you, Embellished. I love the way you follow by the emotional paths of my characters. It is what I focus on most when writing - and not the snark, contrary to popular opinion! - fallenwitch
It's amazing how miserable Draco and Ginny have made each other, and themselves. It almost makes me wonder if they are capable of happiness anymore, despite having found each other again. Thanks for the update!
I love the way that Ginny wishing she was with Draco, in conjunction with the wand he gave her, brings her to him. That one detail emphasizes the inevitability of things. No matter how much Draco might want to stay away from Ginny, for his own sanity or hers, they will be drawn together by the magic of their past relationship, however broken it might be. Thanks for posting.
And then, someday, they may recall we were not too young at all. --Nat King ColeCategory: Completed Short Stories
This is really lovely. The story arc is well-crafted and believable, and everyone's reactions are very much in character. Thanks for posting!
Set just before Threads and right between it and Musubiya Mystery Theatre, a young Slytherin finds himself at a crossroads as to what to do with his life following the end of Voldemort's reign of terror. He redeems himself and finds new love in the process by way of a most unusual event: Hogwarts' participation in the European Junior Quidditch League.Category: Works in Progress
This is a fun chapter--I see lots of promise in Daphne as a character. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of her in the future! Thanks for the update!
Oh, I am so looking forward to the next chapter. I can't wait to see what happens to the smug Gryffindors when they get their butts kicked. Thanks for the update!
He didn’t want to come back, but certain witches have a way of making you do things you don’t want to.Category: Completed Short Stories
This is very cute! I like the way you interwove the past and present, and Harry and Ron's reactions were a lot of fun. Thanks for posting!
Author's Response: Well thank you for reading and reviewing! ;)
A rumor about Draco Malfoy is going around Hogwarts and Ginny must discover if there is truth to it. (Formerly titled, Ginny Weasley and the Slytherin's Trouser Snake.)Category: Completed Short Stories
This is wonderful! I love the progression of Ginny's emotions, from revulsion to love, and Draco's obsession with what her plot might be. I can just imagine Lavender's reaction as well! Thank you ever so much for finishing this. It was well worth all of your suffering over it, I assure you!
Harry's back! Much angst and woe at Hogwarts school. However will Ginny cope?Category: Completed Short Stories
This is really funny! I love the complexity of Draco's plan, and how forthright he was about the whole thing once it was over. Thanks for posting!
Author's Response: aaw, thanks!! Draco has an attention to detail which I admire greatly... thank you for your lovely review!
Snape remembers.Category: Completed Short Stories
I like the way you wove together the similarities and differences between Snape's and Draco's experiences. And the ending is very cute! Thanks for posting this.
Non-connected drabbles from varied D/G prompts, which aren't long enough to post separately.Category: Completed Short Stories
That last one is way too sad! I like the progression of the first few, especially the image of Molly cradling Ginny in the midst of battle.
...to catch the conscience of the Boy Who Lived.Category: Works in Progress
Yes, you should definitely continue this when you have the time. It's very funny already, and I can't wait to see what the ultimate outcome of the play will be. By the way, my favorite detail is the play's title. I almost choked when I read it! Thanks for posting.
Even if evil is not in your memories, it's in your blood. *Contains very dark themes*Category: Completed Short Stories
This is really quite disturbing, but that is tempered by being able to see how profoundly disturbed Draco and Ginny are as well. And without the sheer magnitude of disturbingness, the ending would not be nearly as hopeful. Thanks for posting.
Author's Response: If you were disturbed reading it, believe me when I tell you that I was dumbfounded that I could have written something like this- you know me; I\'m usually about the fluff. That said, thanks for the review. I wasn\'t sure how a fic like this would be received, but I figured I\'d give it a go.
Set after HBP, during the War, with a very ambiguous redeemed!Draco. The last tumultuous moments of a tumultuous life, crashing down in a wash of gold and silver, emerald and ruby.Category: Completed Short Stories
How horribly sad! I like the way you constructed the story, with the reader realizing what happened along with Ginny. Thanks for posting!
Author's Response: I actually felt quite bad about writing it, but it wouldn\'t leave me alone. Thank you for reading!
Sequel to Pale Memories and Dreams, and noticably fluffier. Ginny and Draco, among others, have remained at Hogwarts after the War, and come to find that it's not easy to admit their feelings. But...not impossible either.Category: Completed Short Stories
This is lots of fun. I particularly like the way Draco treats the Slytherins (and I guess the other students as well). The detail of the eleven rings was also very clever. Thank you very much for posting this!
Author's Response: The bit with the rings was an add-on at 3.00 this morning. :D\r\nThank you for reading!
When Ginny is compelled to do her duty for the Order she gets much more than she ever bargained for.Category: Works in Progress
This is definitely an intriguing beginning. The relationships you have already established (between Ginny and Draco, Harry, and Ron) should make for a very interesting story. Thanks for posting! I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thank you. It\'s very different from anything I\'ve written before, and so far I\'m liking it. Expect to see chapter two soon...
Oh, the torture of doomed love! At least I have the comfort of knowing that you are writing this, so it can't end up too badly. On the other hand, you said it was different from everything else you've written, so maybe I should worry! Anyway, Harry is still really annoying in this chapter, but Draco makes up for that. I'll be interested to see what happens next. Thanks for the update!
Author's Response: Just remember my reputation...
I absolutely love the interactions between Ginny and Ron--they are exactly what I would expect from the two of them. And of course, the snogging made me sigh happily. I'm worried about what is going to happen to Draco, but at least Remus has given me hope along with Ginny!
Author's Response: *smiles* Draco is going to have a rough time of things....
