Date: Mar 11, 2007 Title: Chapter 1: An Unbelievable, Unmitigated Disaster
Wowzer. Okay really, it's even better than I expected!
I liked this part:
That persistent snake was just getting started. He nagged her and harassed her and stalked her until she was ready to hex him just to get some relief from his infernal pestering. Fine. Yes, she would bloody well meet him in Diagon Alley over the holiday break if he would then kindly sod off for the rest of his sorry life.
And this part made my heart sad:
She was absolutely heartbroken and hurting in a fashion she never knew existed. Of course she hated the Slytherin with every fibre of her being that wasn't busy aching and yearning for him. He was everywhere she looked, in everything she felt, and she could hardly stand to be alive, so unrelenting was her particular kind of hell.
Oh, Draco, why'd you hurt our Ginny? Sigh.
Wonderful words, fallenwitch.
Oh, and the wanton cow line? Loved it!

I don't know where to start. Poor, poor Draco. I got so caught up in reading this chapter that I was thinking, "That poor boy. He needs a hug, some love, something." And then I came crashing back to reality--it's just a story. Oh, yeah. Well, my heart still aches for him.
Once again, fallenwitch, the following line sums up for me why I love your fics:
What if he, heaven forbid, uttered completely inappropriate comments of questionable emotional content?
I love the reasons 'your' Draco becomes horrified, it's hilariously entertaining.
I know this, I'm going to be beating down your (virtual) door for the next chapter!

Author's Response: Thanks. This story actually started out with me wondering if there would ever be a situation in which Ginny would take refuge with the Malfoys as apposed to her own family. The Weasleys are so close I wanted to see if I could work around splitting them up. Given their reaction to Percy siding with Fudge, their opinion of Harry, how much they wanted him as a part of the family, their view of Malfoys, and how old fashioned wizarding society is in regards to underage/unwed pregnancy. Not to mention the fact that they just can\'t understand her not wanting to be with Harry.
