You are so infuriating!! I am so desperate to know all of the things you are hiding from us--what's wrong with Ginny, who she goes to see in St. Mungo's, who Snurk's mother is, etc. etc. This fic is so intriguing and just so incredibly unusual. I have absolutely no idea where it's going which, let's be real, is pretty rare for fanfiction. Can't wait for the next chappie!

Poor Ron. Do you know how evil you are? I don't understand how you can have your characters going around, calling Bellatrix the devil, when you're putting them through all this. You're eeeevil.

In any case, I was wondering if it's possible that GINNY has part of Draco's soul?? She was certainly in the right place at the right time, after all (or wrong, considering how much she's been cracking up since then). Just my latest guess...

But I still can't get over that Draco lost part of his soul. Bellatrix must die a thousand evil, painful deaths.

As for me, I can't take any more of these poor folks' misfortunes. From hereon out, I'm just reading the drabbles at the beginning of each chapter. That's it. ;-)

Oh--and my goodness, I forgot to mention this whole mini-Dementor thing. That was so horrible. Not a deep comment, I know, but that's really just disgusting. In any case, I am SO CURIOUS about how Bella is getting on their good side.
Perhaps they're just matches made--not in heaven--by Voldemort.

Augh! No! OK, first off, that was actually quite frightening when Draco came back, and I was sure something had gone horribly wrong.

But I'm even more upset for Draco's sake. I know I shouldn't be, because he's an evil bastard, but...oh, the poor thing, he shouldn't have had to witness that. I was very much hoping he'd be able to stop them, for Ginny's sake, too.

And now, I'm wondering--is Harry still under the love potion? Ginny spoke of it in the past tense in a previous chapter, but he certainly seems to be.

This is not going to turn out well at all.

My heavens...my heavens...did she see him? I hope so; Luna ought to have some supernatural powers!

My impressions of this chapter? First of all, the DEs are so gross. Bellatrix, of course, but Draco, too. Guh. It was so appropriate and yet so gross when they were venerating Voldie, talking up the good ol' days. Yuk. And Bella laughing with Dementors...doesn't get more accurate than that.

PS- What ARE those half-dementor thingies?

I forgot what's most important of all-this idea you have of the prisoners having to relive their sins. I just thought it was interesting, as it's sort of what we wish on all those who have wronged us, isn't it? To feel the pain we felt and guilt for having caused it. And if, on top of that, the wizard can be reformed enough to never commit another crime....too bad we can't do that in real life. Though someday, I imagine, we'll be able to.

One is left to wonder, however, what condition the criminals are left in. I guess Crabbe seems alright, doesn't he? We'll see...

Snape is so evil. Actually, I don't know how I feel about it, because I'm sure, in the long run, it'll be better for Draco. And I DO want him to atone for his sins, and hopefully move past them. But right now, it was just a very painful moment.

Knowing you, Anise, I don't know if I should get my hopes up. And this doesn't seem to be a happy-ever-after fic. But my silly self just can't help hoping.

What a horrible, wonderful chapter. I liked the way you set it up, with the Egyptian gods waiting at Azkaban--though you WILL have to explain how they got there!--and how you described Maat's voice--pleasant, and inhuman, and capable of driving you mad if you listen too long. I don't know how to explain why I loved that, but I did.

And then Draco...it's quite harsh, because the reader, of course, knows the whole time what's coming, that he's going to Azkaban, and that he's going to get quite a shock. But the fact that he saw his cruelties...that was really lovely, though one has to wonder if anyone at all would pass that test. And the ending, when he joins the rest of the DEs for god knows what...well, it's really quite terrifying, isn't it?

This is incredible. I actually groaned, last chapter, when I saw there was more, because I didn't think I could handle any. But this chapter is great--Draco's hatred for Ginny, all I could think was 'yes, that's exactly what has to happen.' And even more genius is your Snape. I think it's brilliant that, for awhile, he became a Death Eater again, and it is so fitting with what you've shown us of Draco that Snape has been protecting him all this while.

I'm a little worried by how much I'm beginning to like and feel for Draco. I have a feeling it's not entirely right, but can't help it. I'm also intensely curious about Ginny's motivations and feelings about this whole affair, as well as her relationship with Harry and this 'justice' thing she's cast on Draco. The fact that she said "I wish you could" before cursing Draco has me intrigued, as does how coldly she did the cursing.

Can't wait for more!!!

Gah. Holy CRAP. You are amazing. Would it offend you if I told you I adore your twisted little mind? Because it's not meant to be offensive, I'm just amazed at the things you come up with. I don't understand, exactly, what's happened, but I get the idea that Draco has been royally screwed over. And despite how angry I was at him before, I can't help feeling his pain. Oh, boy.

A dream, another dream, I don't believe it!! I don't mean the whole fic, I just mean this chapter. It CAN'T be true. He can't really love her? He can't really be ready to run from the Death Eaters?? I don't know what to say...on a constructive level, this chapter was mostly smut, so I don't really have anything useful to say. But for the fic as a whole, I'm very surprised by how benign Draco is (if you can call a person benign). Usually in your fics he is very dark, and very much capable of evil, so it surprises me that this Draco can't cast a Cruciatus, and has such an all-encompassing weakness. I actually think it's closer to canon this way, but don't think I'm not expecting a huge twist. Because I am.

PS-- You said you'd write a short fic of the hidden HBP moments? I'll consider it that old reward fic I asked for, even if it's not! :-D

Yeah, as soon as Draco said "No matter what she had to say, he did not think it could ruin his mood at this moment" I figured it was going to be something awful. About his mother, perhaps? (I really should go back to the beginning and find out what happened to her; it was so long ago)

I'm frustrated that we didn't find out about the Robbins brothers in this chapter, but I'm really glad we'll find out tomorrow!!! Can't wait to finally have this enigma settled (at least in part).

Poor Draco. I actually don't have very much to say about this chapter, though it was quite good. The long paragraphs of introspection at the beginning, in particular, were interesting in showing how Draco seems to be developing, slowly.

I look forward to the next chappie--and fear the day when daily updates stop!!

What the hell?? I have NO clue what just happened. And not only in terms of Ginny just dying. Was that a side-effect of the plan, or something? What's the matter with her? Not just physically, but why is she acting like that?

And wtf is she saying about Harry??

I am definitely looking forward to the continuation of this conversation. Poor Draco.

Christ, what a mess. The characters, I mean, and their lives.

There's so much in this chapter--you're really picking up the pace now, aren't you--that it's hard to write a decent review.

There's what Luna said about Harry, what you both show and tell so well. One wonders if that kind of thing could, indeed, happen to him. He'll always be good, we know that, but--in canon, I mean--he's got to fight against that horrible coldness he's fallen into here.

And then there's beautiful Ron. It's really nice, and possibly necessary, that one character in your fic has remained wonderful. I mean, Snape's pretty cool, too, and Draco needs that. But for the readers' sakes, we need the brick that is Ron.

I was surprised that Draco finally realized that Ron and Ginny are siblings. Do you know what I mean? I think that in the VAST majority of D/G fics, he's always got that very sharp division in his mind between the two. But his understanding of how they are alike, here, and how they are parts of each other, shows that this Draco is perhaps more mature than the one we're used to. As he knows, he has changed, and it's not all for the worse.

Though his life certainly sucks. It must be frightening for him to think about all that he's given up for Ginny, especially without any assurance.

What struck me most about this chapter, though (besides the truly moving Ron/Hermione bit) was Draco's memory of his mother. I mean, yikes! He hasn't thought about her at all, and this is the first hint we've gotten about her fate (isn't it?). That must be huge, for Draco, but he's blocked it from his mind for so long. How will he handle having to deal with it? And finding out the truth?

My goodness. Yeah, like I said, it was a very full chapter. Which is great. I really can't wait for the next chapter, though, and the upcoming conversation between D and G.

Heehee. Nice ending.

As opposed to the rest of the chapter, which was scary and perplexing and...scary. In a worrying sort of way. Everyone seems to be falling apart. I have this horrible image of the main players on that stage surviving, while all of their supporters, the background players--Draco, Snape, Ginny--suffer the brunt of the consequences.

I hope it doesn't turn out that way.

I'm particularly worried by Draco's assurance that everything will be alright. He always seems to feel that way--such an optimist, our boy, isn't he?--and he always seems to be wrong.

And then there's the reappearance (or the foreshadowing of it) of Bellatrix Black. Can't we just kill her, already? Hasn't she caused enough harm?

I forgot to mention last chapter that I loved the moment when Draco called himself a selfish bastard--his wishes in that moment were just so true to character!

And then, this chapter, when he grabs Rita Skeeter--it was just amazing. So very Draco, heedless of the consequences.
?Grab Ginny for me and you can write whatever you want.?

Just perfect. And of course, Skeeter obliges.

Can't wait for more. Sigh.

Misconceptions by Hearts Cadence    (Reviews - 704)

Malfoy is acting suspiciously, and the Trio immediately assumes the worst. However, when Blaise Zabini offers Ginny a different perspective, she begins to wonder if maybe all of their beliefs concerning Draco are just...misconceptions. But that's only the beginning.

I adore this fic. I don't have any constructive criticism to add, I just like being led along by you as you tell this story, feeling alternately saddened or warmed. I'm glad it's so long!

Oh, poor Draco. That was quite cruel of Blaise...I couldn't help thinking of Harry's 'monster' in HBP. Did you write this before or after?

But what I'm worried about most from this chapter is how thoroughly Ginny is lying to the Trio. I mean, she really seems to be playing the role of a double spy, and even though she's not doing anything to harm them, it hurts to see that it's the Trio she's spying against. That's not going to end well, is it?

Hermione is so wonderful!! Just thought I should reaffirm that, as I am so relieved by her supportive reaction.

As for the relationship...first off, what a gift, eh? What a lovely thing for Ginny to see. And Draco's whispers while Ginny is 'sleeping'...sigh. Sigh, sigh sigh.

Actually, the only part I find not cool is that Ginny is not going to Dumbledore right away. SHE knows what's wrong with what Draco's saying, and ought to know that DD has to know, in order to save lives. Hm. But I will have patience, and keep reading, and place trust in the author. :-)

I can't believe how in-character Draco's confession to DD was. In canon character, that is. If you don't mind my saying so, your Draco has always been fairly different from canon Draco, but this scene was like JKR's version had been transplanted into your fic. Very interesting, and well done!

Aahhhh. I'm so glad this chapter was posted, and that it didn't end with the previous one, because I think I would have absolutely died. I'm so glad they're back together.

But why can't Draco go to Hogwarts? Then he could have the whole library at his disposition, he'd probably be glad to be back, and of course he'd be able to be with Ginny. And he wouldn't be confined to one or two rooms!

I do hope you update soon; this has been such a nice, long, enjoyable ride, and I don't quite want it to be over. Here's hoping!
