I think this story weaves seamlessly into the 6th book. as if jk rowling wrote it herself. its also very true to character which i find quite refreshing. thanks for the read and i hope to see your update soon :)
Don't worry about it. I think we're all guilty of plot holes. I'm currently rewriting a few of my stories because of them.
Anyway, I will indeed be reading and reviewing the rest of your chapters, but I'm afraid it will have to wait. I'm on limited time here. I like your story, though, and you can be sure to see more reviews from me in the future. ^_^

I understand what you're saying here, but the way you've structured this sentence makes it seem as if Bella abhors Voldemort, which, of course, she does not.
In any case, this is a good chapter and an interesting beginning. I admit, I don't read very many fanfics that are linked closely with canon. I'm a post-Hogwarts fan myself, but I like the idea behind this. I'm interested to see how you approach it.

You're right about our stories (this and By Firelight) being so similar, but even after reading only the first chapter of yours, I can tell that each has its differences. In any case, on to Chapter Two!

Your hard work and excellent imagination shows in your writing... I think with Thorn and his Rose, we have found the perfect sixth book in the HP series through the eyes of Draco.
Each of your scenes is so vivid..
I especially loved the last few lines where Draco reminisces about a Christmas past and the pain with it...

Yes, haha, I'm glad you liked the reminiscing scene. I was debating wether or not to include it, as it was somewhat OOC, but I decided to go ahead. Very,very interesting! I like the way that you are writing it like a book, especially the ending to each chapter and Draco seems convincing so far and I totally agree when you say that some vital scenes are missing that should be written about .
