Personally, I find fics where Draco/Ginny shipping existed long before Harry/Ginny shipping a bit awkward, but I'm happy to see that your story doesn't go that way. Good realism. And well done in general!

I liked this chapter. Draco is very much a teenager, and I like the fact that you're not having him too perfect, as many authors are inclined to do when writing fanon!Draco. It was quite amusing seeing him struggling to use the floo and feeling sick on the Gringotts' carts. I guess he and Harry have more in common than he realises. *laughs*
You did will at interweaving the book quotes with your own words. Normally I don't like it when authors do that, but it fit for this. I like the way you're portraying Narcissa as well. She loves her son, but she's still stern and such.
I enjoyed Draco and Ginny's interaction. It was just enough without being too much. I always get annoyed when authors have them fall for each other too quickly, but you've set the pace nicely here.
I look forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: Ha, yes, despite what us fangirls like to think, Draco is deff. not perfect....but he's as close as it gets, hahah! On another note, yeah, I'm glad the book quotes meshed well with the overall feel of the story. I was pretty hesitant at first, but I think it worked out in the end. :) And I completely agree with you're D/G relationship comment..some stories move way too fast. I'm going to be taking it pretty slow in this story, so hopefully people don't get too annoyed. Thanks again for another one of your thorough reviews. I look forward to reading more. :) Imaiya

That said, I've read half of this chapter already, and even though I love how you write (especially the funny parts like the piece of coal getting into his underwear from using the Floo Network), I gotta put off reading the rest until I write a bit more of my own chapter-in-progress for By Firelight.
See? I told you it wasn't bad! It's just a hold-that-thought note. :D Anyhoo, keep up the good work! I'll catch up when I can, hopefully sooner than later. And congratulations on this 18-page long chapter! *big hug*
