I was going to go to bed, but then I saw that this was updated, and I had to review. I really like this chapter and not because I beta-ed it. *smirks* Draco's voice is so strong. You can really see that it's him when he speaks. He's also a sarcastic little bugger, and I love seeing that side of him. I also adore his casual compliments. I mean, some will write Draco unnaturally sappy; you do not. He is only ever nice around Ginny, which you can see by how he interacts with Daphne. And that is the way it should be! Draco can be sweet, but he must only reserve this for Ginny. And when he does it, he must be somewhat of an arse about it as he is here.
He's so subtle and absent with his compliments to Ginny that it really makes your heart flutter, and that is what this fic does to me: makes my heart skip a beat. It's just the right amount of sweet.
As for Ginny, she is perfect here. She is jealous (as she should be), but she is still Ginny. She is still confident but not overtly so. She can joke and insult with the best of them (the best being Draco, of course), and she can hold her own. No wonder Draco likes her.
Megan, you are doing a wonderful job, and this is the exact kind of DG fiction we need to read: Draco and Ginny as teens, being shy, being snarky, having fun, getting hearts crushed. Yes, indeed. This is what we all need to read: life.

In hindsight, I kick a couch cushion across the floor and it skids to a stop under your hands as you brace yourself from the fall. Sorry dear, but I will not be jostled from my position in the queue. I stand firm and will defend my place in the line which, as I peer behind me has now wrapped itself around the block. Oh, bother. I suppose a method of elimination will have to be employed. Luckily - I have a flame thrower.

I saw the update when I got to work and so I quickly finished a write-up for my boss so that he wouldn't interrupt me when I read. I took my laptop to the café and am now having a mocha latte and reading your story. It feels like I am doing something very naughty, but it is delicious, like chocolate truffles. *waves hand in front of face and bows head to read* Now, let me read!
Oooh, my heart is a flutter. This is so suspenseful.
Instinct told her to call him a smarmy prat and rush away, but her mind reminded her that this was the boy she had been exposing her soul to for five months; she didn’t even want to think about what her heart was telling her. -- loved this line!
He was upset, but he allowed her to catch up with him. Aww, *swallows hard* what a sweetie.
As his eyes caught hers she smiled, then, as her luck would have it, she slipped on the next step and slid the rest of the way down the stairs on her bottom. -- Okay, I laughed out loud in the café at that, and I think people now believe me to be completely bonkers. Ginny, is turning out to be quite the klutz!
“Are you disappointed it was me?” She focused on looking everywhere but at him.
“No.”
She felt the familiar fluttering. “But you’ve hated me all your life…”
“Things change,” he stated with conviction before walking forward again.
-- These are swooning, lines, my dear. They induce swooning in a woman. *grins*
“When I got her knickers off it looked like her bits had caught on fire…then someone put that fire out with a screw driver.” -- Ha ha! I snorted aloud at this (although I‘m not sure how you could snort internally), and I was also drinking. Luckily, the hot beverage did not spew out my nose. That would have been painful as it would have been unattractive.
Oh, my dear. I loved this. The only problem was that it ended! *folds arms across chest* I mean, really! How dare you?
As for the beta position, *raises hand higher than everyone else and starts shoving girls out of the way* Me! Me! Me! Pick me! I want to be the first! Just send me a message via FIA, and I will email you back. ^_~
