Nola wrote her first story when she was 3 and was doomed to a creative life forever after. She does manage to make a living from her scribbling (most of the time), and uses D/G as her escape from the mundane assignments she sometimes has to take to avoid getting a "real job" somewhere.

Friends in Low Places by Nola Ryan    (Reviews - 22)

Ginny Weasley is not the only one affected by the destruction of The Chamber of Secrets and Tom Riddle's diary. But out of the painful fallout of those events an unlikely connection is made. This connection -- dare they call it a friendship? -- will dramatically alter the lives of Ginny and Draco Malfoy. They'll learn the hard way, though, that changing your path in life leads to challenges that even the strongest bonds may not survive.

Author's Comments: Thanks for the feedback about them not sounding their age. I'm working on different sections of this story at the same time (yes, the story will go well into the future), so I'll have to be more careful about making sure they're acting the way they should at this point in the story. I'll listen closely to the 12 year old I live with to keep on track with that.

As for sexual tension between Ginny and Snape -- that was not at all my intention, I just think he makes an interesting foil for her, because everyone else seems to fear the darkness that surrounds him but Ginny is comfortable with it because of her experience with Tom.

Glad you're enjoying seeing the twins -- I love them and love writing for them, so expect to see much more of them!

Thank you to all of you for the reviews, they're greatly appreciated! -- Nola
