Ginny Weasley and Draco Malfoy are two individuals that do much better just like that: individually. When looking out for themselves involves keeping the other away, it begins to dawn on them that maybe they've got it all wrong. What happens when their hearts decide that perhaps two is always better than one?Category: Works in Progress
Beautiful. I love that theyre snarky but they're not so caught up in it that they can't have a real conversation.
LOVE the closing line, that was awesome.
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I laugh everytime I read that line; it's great that you enjoy it, too! =D
Ginny takes out her Malfoy-derived frustrations on paper. The said Slytherin finds them. Trouble ensues.Category: Completed Short Stories
That was cute! I like that he completely changes her mind with a kiss. I especially love this line:
"Ginny stayed there until she remembered how to breathe"
. . . very romantic.
Author's Response: I loved how confused she was right up until that moment! It was fun to write.
Ginny gets a dare to catch the attention – and more –of the arrogant git that is Draco Malfoy. She NEVER turns down dares. But does she dare look into those darned piercing grey eyes of his...and not fall in love with him?Category: Works in Progress
[Quote of the moment]
"Hello, Draco," I said politely, my tone a little miffed, though.
His fair head slowly turned toward me. I found myself holding my breath for when his eyes would meet mine...
His face was incredulous, slightly disdainful. The wide, piercing grey eyes looked at me shrewdly, his dark lips pressed together.
"It's Malfoy to you, Weasley," he slowly, as if he were talking to someone mentally retarded. "But sir is fine, as well."
Had his voice always been like that? Soft, muted, velvet smooth? ...Sexy?
I gathered my thoughts as quickly as I could. "Oops, sorry!" I said sarcastically. "Would Your Highness do?"
"Perfect," he smirked slightly, his eyes still sort of tight. "But I can't be bothered to remind you, so please don't forget."
I like the way that he ran into her and he wasn't just an asshole. I love it when Draco is just a normal guy, a bit distant maybe, but not a complete jerk.
Like you said, this is a common plot, but it can be strewn about so many different ways that it really doesn't matter, its common because its good. So I'm looking forward to see where this one will end up!
Author's Response: Kandi, thanks so much! I like Draco when he's kind of like that, too - not a complete, despicable asshole. But I do like him to be a little bit of a jerk! Anyway. You're right about the plot...and hopefully, the way I'm taking it, it will be original! :D So thanks again for reviewing!
Pansy is jealous of Ginny, and Draco gets defensive.Category: Completed Short Stories
I like the way you opened up halfway through a conversation to set the mood.
I love the banter between Pansy and Ginny, and how Ginny completely shut her down without even really saying anything about her, nice wordplay.
However, I think the way you introduced Draco into the story was a little choppy. I'm not really sure how you could have done it any other way but I thought I'd let you know.
At any rate, I love the ending, typical Draco and typical Ginny overcoming the odds to make quite a beautiful couple, you projected that quite nicely.
All in all, a very fulfilling short read. : D
