Firstly, my laptop decided to lose power while I was in the middle of my review for the last chapter. Basic summary: awesome chapter, 'oh snap!'- Harry and Nott got burned, and Draco is going around hiding things again.
Now on to this chapter. First of all, chapter 100, whoo-hoo! Cake for everyone!
I love Ginny's independence at the end. I'm not sure if that's the wisest thing for her to do, seeing as Draco knows a whole lot more than she does right now, but it is nice to know that she's easing up on her dependence a little bit. Hopefully, out of all of this we might get a confession or an explanation out of this from Draco, which is all the better for us!
Awww...I love Daphne and Dean together. That's too sweet. :)
I think Pansy's trying to help Ginny out, but from the way Draco talked about it, I'm not exactly sure.
But probably the most confusing part (and the part that I am super excited to see explained) is how Draco appeared to be in two places at once. Do the soft spaces twist dimensions, or conjure hallucinations, or something?
Can't wait for more!! And these daily updates have been a pleasant surprise, and although they might be impossible to keep up with and may no longer continue- they are most definitely appreciated beyond a doubt. LOVE THIS CHAPTER! :)

Author's Response: Thanks!! :) Ginny goes back and forth, I think, and she may not always be wise-- but then, who could be when presented with the situations she'll have to deal with during the rest of DDD? ;) Yes, Pansy was trying to help Ginny, but I think she already knew that it was a lost cause. Actually, the explanation for what Ginny perceived is fairly simple, in a way-- she's in the soft spaces at a very tricky time, and it's very difficult to keep track of what you're seeing and when, as she'll find out. More soon....

I wonder what this means? Who-or what- is at St. Mungo's? Guess we'll find out soon enough! Theo is quite possessive of Astoria, and I think he really feels for her. Astoria seems to only love herself. Although, I'm not sure if I interpreted this right, but did they imply that Astoria was flirting with Harry? Well, there goes the dream team right there-they absolutely deserve each other.
Other things I am excited to know more about: the Marriage Law. I wonder if this might affect the bonds and consummation issues?
Your last chapter, by the way, since I didn't get a chance to review, was awesome as well. I loved the insight into Ginny, and the memory of Lucius.
Awaiting chapter 103! These frequent updates are amazing by the way, and I really appreciate it given the fact that RL is always there in the way. When I saw this, it basically made my day :)

Author's Response: Thanks! (Does Happy Helped-To-Make-Someone's-Day Dance. :) Oh, we'll find out VERY soon what's at St. Mungo's... maybe even by the end of the next chapter. I'm not sure if it will fit in or not; that might make it too insanely long, but definitely either there or the start of the one after that. I do think that Theo has some feelings for Astoria, but I really wouldn't bet on hers for him. And you're right-- she's working it with Harry too. I hoped that somebody would catch the Marriage Law ref!! :) More soon....

Whoa. So Ginny looks like Astoria, and Astoria looks like...Astoria? So where's Ginny? Now this should be interesting. Here's the part where I feel bad for the horse, just a little bit- she knows Draco will never love her for who she is (or at least care about her enough to validate their marriage), and would even go as far as to impersonate another woman. That's a bit depressing. But I still don't like her. I digress...
And Prudence Johnson is back! I knew she was going to be important soon....
I can't wait to see what happens in chapter 105! Great job :)

Yes, Ginny was kind of wondering about that too... but just so that readers aren't TOO worried about that point, the Cambio/Scimbare mashup meant that Ginny's body didn't really end up anywhere until the spell situation is somehow resolved. Astoria is a sad character in some ways, I think-- although she's brought a lot of it on herself with her own choices, she's not 100% responsible either. And yes, you were right about Prudence.... we'll learn much more about her next. More soon.

That last scene so so heartbreakingly written- fantastic. Beautiful. Loved it!
Oooohhh...Prudence is bothering me with her many questions and hints but lack of answers-somehow I had a feeling she would turn out to be an Immortal. But the way she comforted Ginny was really nice, and I feel like Ginny really needed that-someone to hold her. Really sweet.
I WANT TO KNOW HOW THE BONDS WORK. Grrrr...you're having so much fun not telling us, right? :)

First off, these were a great two chapters! Imagine my excitement when I came home after a hectic morning and saw TWO NEW CHAPTERS OF DDD! And these were really important, revealing chapters-we learned quite a bit about Draco, Narcissa, and Prudence-three very interesting characters. I am especially happy that Draco finally brought it out in the open that he has feelings for Ginny other than the whole 'she will make me pure' and 'I find her incredibly attractive' thing, and that he saw himself in the mirror-which was a ingenious idea for a literary device- and actually felt really, really bad. It kind of brought to terms the basis of their relationship so far (the way it's been like cat-and-mouse, with Ginny being left in the dark and Draco seeming to be borderline crazy and secretive) and showed them what was already there in the first place- the fact that they truly love each other, beyond all of the sordid reasons. So, thank you for finally bringing that up :)
And I just KNEW that Narcissa and Arthur had a thing! That's adorable.
So hopefully Draco and Ginny will reunite and meet up, without any snags whatsoever, and that he will on sight recognize that she is not the real Astoria and everything will be happily ever after? Of course not. This is DDD, of course. However, something tells me that a brilliant plot twist will make things write (excuse my pun) in the end! (I crack myself up :D)
Can't wait for their reunion! (and it seems, neither can they...)

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you! (does the Happy Chapters Were Praised Dance. :) I honestly think that Draco really reached a turning point here. He finally was able to get into St. Mungo's to see his mother, he saw into himself, and most importantly, he was able to *admit* that he'd seen what the mirror showed him. He's come a long way. So has Ginny, I think. She knew that she couldn't give in to her desire for him unless she saw this kind of evidence that he cared about her, and she did. Of course... there are still a few problems in their way, aren't there? ;)Something tells me that a few plot twists are coming up...

Author's Response: No, Draco hasn't recognized Ginny as herself; he's just finally believed that he's really hearing her voice. And Theo also hasn't recognized Ginny as not being the real Astoria. Theo and Astoria do know each other VERY well, and Ginny's acting ability could be better, so it kind of makes you wonder if there's a reason for all of this... ;) I'm glad to see that some readers caught the "ritual" ref. Astoria may have some ideas about trying to get away with something. And you just might be right about that finale coming up... ;)

Author's Response: Draco had some difficulties in seeing Ginny for who she really is, no doubt about that one. He needed to perform the Disillusionment charm on himself, but the question, I think, is why he found it so difficult to do. You may be on to something... All questions about who does what with who in whose body will be answered in the very next chapter! :)

Yes-- I think it was important to keep a balance between real emotions and not making this more romantic than anything than would have been realistic at this point. I'm not even kidding, but by this chapter, I was almost in tears. This story (especially Draco's totally heartfelt confession to the psychatrist guy) was so incredibly sweet and beautiful (with the right amount of hateful passion and angsty-ish stuff) that I'm already in love :) The only problem I have is that now I'm probably never going to even finish my essay on leadership in time :P lol :) Well, all I can say now is KEEP ON WRITING!!! xoxoxoxo :)

This story is back :D I did a little happy dance just now :) I loooove Draco in this one- reading about him and Ginny's little interactions makes me laugh.. he so self-assured, and perfectly Draco! I also really like the Harry/Luna in this chapter, because Harry's such a great character when he's not trying to screw up Ginny's love life... ;) Luna will also help him calm down a little bit: balance. :D Ginny is her adorable spunky but very confused self in this chapter, which is spot on and fabulous!

Yay! I was very pleased you updated, I'm starting to really grow fond of this story! The translations must have taken some work, totally applaud you for that :) ...I'm writing a story where they are from Italy..and I don't speak a word of Italian. :( So bravo! It is very difficult to translate and I definitely appreciate that! :D
One more thing that stood out to me in particular: the hyperlinks! Totally smart of you to do that :) Your adjectives were great and the picture to go along worked well. In stories where Ginny is forced into high society, clothing is very important, and I enjoy vivid images to go along, as it is a big part of the socialite, elitist lifestyle.
So, great, great, great and I look forward to more! (Hopefully in English, hahaha, for the sake of poor Ginny XD lol)

Thank you! The translations weren't *too* hard: I took 4 years of French in high school so I can recall some basic words and verbs, although I've completely forgotten how to conjugate. I'm sure that there's all sorts of grammatical errors as to where I put adjectives, but I decided to pull up sites that have lists of verb conjugations and go the simplistic route since I figured that the students were still using simplistic phrasing. This should be the last chapter with any substantial translations, the next chapter takes place at the end of Ginny's 5th year so she'll be quite fluent and I'll just leave all the dialogue in English.
The hyperlinks were my way of being lazy, I think it's much easier for everyone to see what I mean rather than writing out a long, flowery paragraph for something relatively unimportant to the story. I'm glad you liked them though. :)

It has occurred to me (after reading your awesome chapter), that if Ginny had never done the 'following everyone' route, she would've developed quicker into being her own person (as she is shown in her later years), rather than taking a while to become the present-time Ginny..I wonder how not opening the Chamber of Secrets will change her character in this fanfic as opposed to the book? Can't wait to find out!!

Very good! I can see how her brothers might be upset, seeing how it was almost sort of a family tradtion, so to speak, to go to Hogwarts, especially with them being Head Boys and Prefects and all.. Any more anger or resentment wouldn't have made sense and would've shown the Weasely boys in a very OOC light, so I appreciate your effort in giving them a decent "stopping point" in their anger toward Ginny's decision.
Another thing I particularly liked was how you described Ginny recieving her first wand, because the experience is very similar to Harry's in canon, so I love that you stayed as accurate and as believable as possible- kudos to you!
All in all, great job as usual and I hope to see more!! It is a fantastically intriguing story, definitely worth tracking :)
Author's Response: Thank you! I really can't see someone getting their wand on the first try, I see the process as similar to picking out running sneakers. You've got to test out a few pairs first to see which is the best for you, not just grab the first pair you think will work.

Yay, an update! So excited, I love this story!! And with Ginny growing up away from Draco, there's none of that extra prejudice between them. It's great to read something that doesn't feature the extra animosity, so kudos to you for thinking outside of the box! That being said, this story is fantastic, and I can't wait for more!!!!
